Port Plaza Apartments

Great location right in front of the harbour with wonderful views of the yachts (you can even see the view from the bathroom window!). It’s very convenient, located just 100 meters from a bus stop and under 500 meters from the train station, with the main area within an easy, manageable walking distance. The room features a nice big bed, actual doors for extra privacy, and a well-appointed seating area with a sofa and kitchen table. The kitchen facilities were excellent—complete with a fridge, coffee machine, stove, stovetop, and dishwasher. We also appreciated the pretty dining / breakfast area, as well as the secure luggage storage equipped with lockers. Overall, a great stay!

This property is right opposite the river and a very short walk to the old town. The room itself was very clean and tidy and the booking process was very efficient. Our hosts were very thoughtful and had a few extra touches in the room that made it very welcoming.

The room was slightly noisy… being on the ground floor and next to a bar and shops on the other side it may not be suitable for someone that is wanting a long night of sleep.

The location is nice if you intend to use the train. Otherwise it is a bit of sketchy area, with sketchy people lingering on the square in front of the house. It is quite far from the centre and old town, but is still walkable. The room was fine in terms of size. Towels and shower gel were provided.

The room smelled of chemicals and the smell stayed for the whole two nights. There is a fair bit of noise from trains, but as we are accustomed to living next to a railway, it was not a dealbreaker. Breakfast is really small. No bacon and eggs, only cold dishes and toast. Not the type of breakfast you would expect for the price of accommodation. Had to wait almost 15 minutes to get checked in, because the receptionist rudely took a phone call in the middle of us checking in.
