About this house rental
This home sits on the edge of a bluff with unobstructed views of the water and a secluded cove with direct access to a beautiful private beach. You do not have to leave your living room to feel that you are in nature. This Ca. 1960 two story cottage was fully renovated in 2015 with central air and all other modern amenities. There are glass panels that are 14 ft wide in the living room and other floor to ceiling glass panels and sliding doors that welcome the endless sunlight and cross ventilation. The property is very private with a landscaped garden and many flowering perennials, the green lawn leads to an infinity deck, ideal for sunset dining and your morning coffee.

Our family had an incredible month long vacation at this property. The views of the Long Island Sound are exceptional and the landscaping is truly captivating and meticulously maintained. The house itself was well stocked, clean and very comfortable. The private beach boasts beautiful sunsets and sunrises. We certainly hope to return sometime soon.

The photos, as good as they are, really can't do justice to the home's setting and beautiful landscaping. This is a truly gorgeous and cozy perch on Long Island's North Fork. The location itself isn't walking distance to much of anything, but it is just a very short car ride to Greenport, Orient Point, Southold, Shelter Island, and other nearby destinations. Tim was a fantastic host. He checked in with us constantly, was very flexible with us when we hit a few snafus, and he did everything possible to make sure our stay was comfortable. The house is well-appointed, cozy, and clean and really was everything we wanted and hoped for. And the little private beach (pebbles, not sand) accessible via stairs from the house and the lovely "overview deck" for morning coffee and family outdoor dining at sunset were huge pluses. We hope to be back again next summer.
