The Enchanted Shell is an OCEAN FRONT property located in Middle Beach of beautiful Surfside Texas, providing a comfortable and soothing holiday for either an adult get away or a family oriented vacation.
You can choose to relax on the beach and enjoy a cocktail, swim in the beautiful gulf ocean or watch the best sunset on the gulf coast.
You'll find awesome surf fishing, beach combing, shelling, and swimming. If you prefer to just relax, grab a lounge chair and kick back on the beach.
Use the provided hammock, swing chairs, and custom adironack chairs to relax with your choice of a get-away book on the over-sized deck (800 Sq. ft), or just watch the incoming/outgoing ships through the jetty.
Off the deck is the newly renovated private boardwalk for easy access to the beach and a nice stroll at dusk.
Everything to make your vacation memorable is waiting for you!
The charcoal grill (on the deck) will ensure you don't miss any of the views while cooking for your family and serving on the large picnic table (seats 8).
The key may not be in the conch shell.... but you can come on in! Swing open the deck gates and get a view of the end of the world.

Our primary goal was to stay right on the beach, and this property absolutely delivered. The location is fantastic, and the back deck overlooking the water was easily the highlight of our stay. We spent hours enjoying the view and listening to the waves, people watching and it provided easy access to the beach with the board walk from the house to the beach, and water hose to rinse off before entering the deck was perfect. The home also stayed nice and cool, and the air conditioning worked very well, which made a big difference during a hot holiday weekend.The reason I'm giving 3 stars instead of 5 is that the home appears to have quite a bit of deferred maintenance. It could benefit from some repairs and a little extra attention to detail. We also didn't get the feeling that the home had been especially prepared for our arrival, and it lacked the welcoming touches that many vacation rentals provide. None of those things kept us from enjoying our trip—we came to relax at the beach, and that's exactly what we did. If you're looking for an unbeatable beachfront location and don't mind a property that is a bit worn, this could still be a good fit. I would simply recommend bringing a few extra essentials from home.Overall, we had a great holiday weekend because of the location, you can drive on the beach and the beaches are pet friendly. With some maintenance and a little more attention to the guest experience, this property could be exceptional.

This property is a great beach cabin. excellent beach views and vicinity. We accidentally got locked out of the house and the owner was very responsive in getting it resolved. Would definitely come back.

For the price, we enjoyed the property. We were met with some nice touches such as a bottle of prosecco and bottled water in the refrigerator. And clean front windows! (One of my pet peeves - I pay for the view - I want to be able to see it!) Access to the beach is easy. The only major criticism is the bathtub - the fixtures are very rusted and should be replaced. The other criticism would be the grill. We had to really clean it up before we could use it. The owner was very responsive from initial booking and throughout our stay. Would consider staying here again.
