About this villa rental
Our Vacation Rental, Carmelita Villas; a blend of North American and European style boutique property. A small, intimate; four villa property owned and operated by a Canadian & British couple; Graham and Angela.
The villas consists of three; two bedrooms, one bath and one villa consisting of two bedrooms, two baths. We've recently added (August 2021) a partial outdoor bath/lounge area to one of our villa. In the space you will find a soaker tub, shower and lounge area. You walk from the master suite to this space. Its a surprise. Kind of. We wont say which villa but we know whoever pulls the straw for said villa will be very impressed and in AWE!
Villas are air conditioned and equipped with full kitchens and individual private outdoor dining/lounge areas. Located in Playa Hermosa, on Calle Hermosa, Puntarenas, Costa Rica. You can find our video on our site and also on all Social Media platforms.
We are a 90 minute drive from San Jose Airport and eight minutes to Playa Hermosa Beach and a 10 minute drive to the hustle & bustle of Jaco Puntarenas. We have the beautiful neighborhoods of Los Suenos, Quepos, Manuel Antonio National Park, Parque Nacional Marino Ballena, Uvita and Dominical all within close to nominal driving distance.
Seven years ago when we embarked on our dream to establish Carmelita Villas in the unique environment of Costa Rica, we originally created our focus around a luxurious secluded Bed and Breakfast. Our success in attracting discerning clientele, led to an increasing and regular demand for small family groups requesting to occupy our entire intimate property. Two years in, it became evident that family and friends traveling in groups, were invariably seeking a safe, secluded, intimate and luxurious getaway experience they could all share together.
In 2017 we decided to offer more availability and opportunity and today we have developed our services to enhance the benefits we can offer those groups who book with us. We most recently have set out our plans to cater exclusively to this unique travel sector. By adding separate professional catering cooking facilities and the advantage of additional group booking tours and concierge and transportation services, we are able to open exciting additions to your vacation planning.
The core experience of enjoying a luxurious getaway in a relaxing surrounding remains our prime objective. Enjoying self contained, private individual villas nestled around your own private pool surrounded by lush gardens. We are minutes away from Playa Hermosa beach and its diverse family restaurants provides a unique family vacation proposition.
We can blend your own bespoke dream escape with the right balance of autonomy and isolation still while able to reach out from your base to discover one of the most ecologically diverse countries in the world.
In each of our villas you will find your gorgeous Carmelita Villas robe for adults. Your robes while with us can be used and enjoyed in your villa, relaxing by your private pool, on your terrace or when you meet your family for breakfast; you can all feel comfortable knowing this is your private space to enjoy!
“Pura vida” is Costa Rica's motto. The most commonly used phrase in Costa Rica literally means “Pure life”, but the saying goes beyond its simple translation: it’s a way of life. Contextually, it symbolizes the idea of simply enjoying life and being happy. It’s a synonym of “hakuna matata” and reflects the relaxed lifestyle of Costa Ricans. Oh, and Costa Rica was voted the Happiest Place!

Intimate weddings, vow renewals, engagements getaway, small corporate groups with our newest property Breitling House coming onboard shortly.
Breitling House will accommodate a maximum of 6; with its own private pool and entrance. Both properties booked together can accommodate up to 22 guests. Breitling House is next door to Carmelita Villas

Our family, ranging in ages from 9-82, all thoroughly enjoyed our vacation here. The pool area was a wonderful place for us to spend time together, as was the outdoor dining area and living room of the Cartier Villa. We enjoyed seeing and hearing all of the beautiful birds, including Macaws and Toucans. The villas are an easy drive to many nearby restaurants and to everything in Jaco. There is a small market just down the street that was very convenient. Vista Los Suenos adventure park is about a 30 minutes drive away and offers many fun activities, and the spectacular Manuel Antonio National Park is about an hour drive away. There are a variety of beaches nearby that are good for swimming, surfing, and watching the sunsets. Graham and Angela were amazing hosts and so responsive to our questions before arrival. They quickly addressed any concerns we had during our stay and let us know that we could contact them for any recommendations or help with booking any activities. We had a wonderful stay here and highly recommend it!
