About this apartment rental

Our apartment, completely renovated in 2016, will surprise you with its calm and brightness. We have specially furnished and decorated it, in a contemporary and sober style, to welcome you during your stays in Lyon. It got the 3 star rating. Its large windows offering a beautiful panoramic view of Lyon and, in good weather, of the Alps, bring in a lot of light. The fully equipped kitchen opens onto the living room with a bar where it is pleasant to have a drink. The bathroom decorated with stone, wood and ceramic has a large walk-in shower and a large washbasin. The 2 bedrooms have dressing rooms and offices. In the living room, a 3-seater convertible sofa and 2 armchairs await you for a well-deserved break after visiting the traboules or the antique theatre. You will quickly feel at home.
Located in the heart of the district classified as a UNESCO heritage site, you will not need a car to visit Lyon, its historic district, the peninsula and even reach the new confluence district and its museum by river shuttle. The apartment is close to many restaurants, theaters and cinemas but also to the Perrache train station, the old Lyon metro station is 300m away. However, if you are motorized, the St Georges car park is 2 steps away.
Apartment dedicated to family stays preferably. Groups of young people are in principle not authorized following a bad experience. Thank you for your understanding.

We had a really pleasant stay in this lovely apartment in Vieux Lyon, located just across the St George bridge. Attractively decorated, very clean and tidy, and stocked with necessities. Compact, yet comfortable for four people.The cobbled streets of the old town are charming - lined with traditional restaurants, great bakeries, and additionally fresh food snd antique markets on both banks of the Soane River. Easily walkable to interesting sights in Vieux Lyon, including two ancient Roman amphitheatres and the Fouvriere basilica on the hill dating from the late 1800s - pleasant places to see late afternoon when the basilica’s facade is illuminated by the last rays of sunlight. There, from the nearby viewing platform one can look down upon the city of Lyon and its rivers laid out like a map below.A must for anyone interested in art is a visit to the musee des Beaux Artes - France’s second major art museum. Also the city quarter with numerous jewellery, craft, and art ateliers stocking genuinely locally made products. Thanks to our obliging hosts and the accomodation we had a really enjoyable holiday in Lyon.

A cute apartment within walking distance of everything! I walked to the outdoor market along the river almost daily. The hill to the apartment is fairly steep but the location makes up for it. Apartment itself has a ton of natural light and is clean.

This apartment is absolutely perfect, and is in a perfect location in Vieux Lyon. Two bedrooms made it the perfect spot for my daughter and me to be very comfortable. We are both very athletic and fit, and we quite enjoyed the short uphill walk to the apartment.

Well situated but it is an attic so you need to be careful of sloping ceilings. Well equipped but one large and one small towel each for 7 days was a bit mean. Also the towels were quite old. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay. Taxis cannot drive to the door as it is a narrow steep street for residents only. You have to walk your luggage down to the main street.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the heart of Old Lyon (Vieux Lyon). The apartment is tucked away in a nice quiet street, a short walk to restaurants, cafes, bars, shops and supermarkets. It is very comfortable, loads of space and has great views of the area. Christiane and Thierry are fabulous hosts, who communicated quickly with us and provided great information on what to do in the area. We felt at home in their unit and would stay again.

We were mother, father and two sons (6 and 10). The appartment was highly suitable for us and our purpose. Well equipped og extremely well located for a visit in and around Lyon. We were warmly and efficiently welcomed and informed by the the hosts Christiana and Thierry. We highly recommend this appartment for a copule or, as in our case, a small family. This lovely flat is perfect for a small family or couple to enjoy while staying in Lyon. We were very impressed with how clean the flat was and the location couldn't have been better. Christiane & Thierry were very helpful with our trip details and with our arrival. They couldn't have been nicer, thank you. I would highly recommend this flat for a stay while in Lyon.

We liked it, despite many reasons not to, and we liked Christiane and Thierry. We were there all of October, 2022. The street is steep. You can catch the funicular to the Roman ruins at the nearby metro stop and walk down the 144 (!) steps at the top of the street; still easier than walking up. Google map it. When we arrived, they apologized and said we were the first after a long-term pandemic renter who had been slovenly, so they were still cleaning. We left our bags and returned hours later. It wasn’t enough. We spent most of a day cleaning it ourselves. They were very friendly and did their best, but seemed overwhelmed by how bad it was. Looking back, they should have gotten us a hotel room for a day and finished up. Then we saw mice. When informed, they immediately brought in traps and poison, and later a professional. Sadly, we were responsible for tending the traps and cleaning up after les souris. We caught six. The last two weeks of our stay there were no signs. The furniture in the living room is frankly in need of replacement. The rest of the furniture, including the beds, was fine and comfortable. We asked for and they provided new sheets, towels, pillows, etc. The lighting in the building stairwell was good going up due to a timed switch at the bottom, but there was no switch at the top for going down! The kitchen was poorly equipped. We gave them a list of items and they provided them all right away. One of the burners on the gas stove did not work properly; we didn’t need it. The shower drain smelled a little sewer-like in the mornings; it probably needed a heavy dose of bleach. The apartment is close to the river, the metro, a wonderful open air market, good restaurants, cafes, bakeries, shops, pubs, and a creperie. The Roman ruins were an easy funicular ride. There was no traffic so it was wonderfully quiet. We could open the windows and hear the sounds of people on the street below and children in a park a couple of blocks away. The view standing at the windows was grand. On cold days the apartment heater kept us very comfortable. The on-demand water heater gave unlimited hot water, for the best shower I’ve had in Europe. The clothes washer and drying rack were good. The kitchen was very usable and we cooked some delicious meals. If the apartment had been properly clean and equipped from the start, we would have enjoyed it a lot. We hope the owners will take the remaining steps to make it right.

This lovely apartment was perfect for our 10 week stay in Lyon. It was spacious and light filled with lovely views. It was our home away from home and the well-equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and roomy dining/living area allowed us to settle in to life in Lyon. The location is great: quiet but still close to the Metro and the heart of Vieux Lyon and Bellecour. The hosts were very friendly and helpful and welcomed us with a gift.

We had a great weeklong stay in Vieux Lyon. We loved the proximity but far enough away from the touristy noise and foot traffic. Bellcour Metro was our main starting point, as we came to Lyon for the Women's World Cup. Christiane met us on arrival to give us a quick orientation, and she and Thierry were both extremely responsive to our questions and needs. It was sooo much appreciated that the apartment has multiple fans and a cooler, as there was a heatwave during our stay. You are steps (150-200?) from the Roman amphitheatre. Such a wonderful place - thank you, Christiane & Thierry!

We had a wonderful 5-day stay in this apartment. The apartment is very clean, tastefully decorated and very quiet. Before our stay, the owners were very responsive to our inquiries and when we arrived, Thierry welcomed us and gave us some good recommendations. Best of all, the apartment is close to everything we wanted to explore. Although it's near the Vieux Lyon metro station, we walked everywhere. The apartment is a few minutes away from the Saone River and after crossing a pedestrian bridge and going down a staircase, we were able to run along the Saone in either direction. We were also close to the daily market along the river and went each morning to buy our daily bread, fruit and vegetables. Staying in this apartment allowed us to be part of the daily rhythm of this beautiful city and made for a memorable experience. All in all, a wonderful stay. Just one caveat: the apartment is up a short, but steep hill so those with mobility issues could be challenged.

The apartment was clean. The photos were exact. Bed comfortable, kitchen well equipped, location perfect, never had to use public transit we walked everywhere. The hill up to the apartment was a friendly challenge. There was a little street noise from the double bedroom when sleeping with the windows open. The hosts were friendly and cooperative and we enjoyed the bottle of wine they gave us. Overall a great experience.

We had the privilege of living in this apartment for 8 weeks this summer. We spent plenty of time there, got to know Lyon and the Vieux Lyon neighborhood, and can report back that this is the perfect place to stay in Lyon. The apartment is bright, modern, and very comfortable. 5 of us ( 1 adult and 4 children) slept very comfortably. Bedrooms were well decorated, beds were comfortable with nice linens, and closets had plenty of space. The kitchen worked very well for us, is well-stocked for cooking meals, and has a washing machine for clothing. The bathroom is roomy and bright with a skylight. We found the apartment to be a little hot in summer, but the owners brought a cooler and we had fans. It kept us comfortable. As for the neighborhood, the apartment is situated on a very steep hill, and is on the 2nd floor of the building. So there is some climbing involved. But we found the street and hill to be very charming, and reaching Fourviere is very easy from a staircase at the top of the street. There are many restaurants in very close walking distance, including one at the bottom of the street. The apartment is within walking distance of Bellecour, and is a short walk to St. Jean, and the Vieux Lyon Metro station. All of the restaurants in the St. Jean/Vieux Lyon area are an easy short walk away. There are also several museums close by. To summarize, I don't think you could stay anywhere in Lyon that would be more comfortable or convenient. We would not hesitate to go back to this apartment. Christianne and Thierry were the perfect hosts. We'll always think of it as our Lyon home. Thank you for a wonderful, unforgettable summer...made possible because you were willing to host us in Lyon!

We had a lovely week, the apartment was excellent, a great location even with the steep climb, it is right in the old town and yet quiet. It is well decorated and equipped, and we were very comfortable there. The neighbours were friendly and we had a great time exploring Lyon, a town which exceeded our expectations. There was so much to do we never even left town for a day trip, and we still didn't complete our list...Thanks for the lovely welcome - we felt at home straight away.

The uphill to the apartment might be a bit hard for some people, but we had no problem. We will definitely stay there again if we visit Lyon in the future.

The description and pictures are accurate, and the flat is very convenient for a stay in the old town, close to many museums etc. and the metro, buses, funicular. Plenty of shops and a wonderful market nearby. There are great views from the windows. The flat is tastefully furnished and has all the modern equipment you could need. It would probably be a good idea to explain that access on foot is 50m or more up a narrow street, with a very steep slope (25%?).

Wir waren als Familie in Lyon und deshalb lieber in einem Appartment als in einem Hotel. Mit unserem gebuchten Appartment haben wir ein Glücksgriff getan. Es ist klein, aber fein.Es ist alles vorhanden, und zwar in einem tollen Zustand. Die Vermieter waren sehr nett und sehr hilfsbereit (sie haben sogar unseren Kindern beim Koffertragen geholfen). Das tollste ist die Aussicht über Lyon und man ist mitten in der Stadt. Achtung: Für Leute die nicht gut zu Fuß, ist das Appartment nicht zu empfehlen, da man einen steilen Berg ansteigen muss (daher die Aussicht). Wenn wir wieder nach Lyon fahren würden, dann bestimmt dort wieder hin.

J'ai été accueilli par Christine et Thierry à la gare sur leur proposition car j'avais beaucoup de bagages ce qui est assez exceptionnel pour être souligné. L'appartement, rénové en 2016 correspondait bien aux photos: neuf, bien pensé, fonctionnel et agréable à vivre au quotidien. L'espace est bien aménagé, rien ne manque et j'ajouterai qu'il est particulièrement bien équipé non seulement en cuisine mais aussi pour le salon où l'on peut facilement recevoir. Nous étions deux pour la période mais il peut facilement recevoir 4/5 personnes sans souci à mon avis. Le quartier est top et si vous aimez la tranquillité tout en étant à 15 minutes du centre-ville, cet appartement est tout indiqué (il y a néanmoins une rue à pub en bas de la rue). Enfin, nous avons eu un mini problème et Thierry a trouvé une solution en très peu de temps. En somme, je recommande vivement cet appartement !

Appartement de charme très bien situé dans le vieux Lyon. Possibilité de faire des visites à pied dans musée ou juste dans les rues de Lyon. Plusieurs solutions de Parking à moindres frais dans les alentours, on a passé un délicieux séjour à Lyon. L'appartement est bien aménagé, on se sent à l'aise même à 6 personnes. L'environnement est calme et reposant. On est satisfait de cette location pour nos fêtes de fin d'année.

Super appartement, dans un quartier charmant. On est dans les vieux immeubles du Vieux Lyon, dans une ruelle qui fait penser à un petit village, mais en quelques minutes de marche on peut être à Fourvière (ça monte !) ou place Bellecour. L'appartement lui même a le charme et le caractère de l'ancien mais tout le confort moderne, il est confortable et bien équipé. Les propriétaires nous ont accueilli sympathiquement et j'ai vraiment apprécié le séjour. Le bonus d'y être passé fin décembre ? La vue sur la grande roue :-)

Un apartamento muy coqueto en pleno centro y muy bien comunicado por metro y andando. El apartamento está muy nuevo y reformado reformado recientemente; corresponde a la descripción del anuncio. Todos los electrodomésticos y enseres son nuevos. Los propietarios encantadores y muy atentos. Nos facilitaron mucha información sobre los sitios adónde ir y las cosas que ver. Muy recomendable la Fiesta de la Luces. Verdaderamente se transforma la ciudad y desde el apartamento, caminando, pudimos verlo todo. Sin duda lo recomendaremos a familiares y amigos.
