About this apartment rental

Walker's Neuk is a beautifully presented cottage apartment located in the heart of the charming fishing village of Anstruther. A ground floor apartment with a sunny, west aspect garden on two levels, shared with the upper apartment. The second level offers sea views of the Bass Rock and the Firth of Forth towards North Berwick. The tranquil garden features evidence of the workshops of the Balmerino Monks which were housed on the site in the 13th Century. Walker’s Neuk was built in the 18th century and used to house the local Blacksmith.
An ideal location for visitors to the East Neuk of Fife, the cottage is set within the narrow streets of Anstruther, great for exploring the village and the working harbour which is close by. It is located opposite the Michelin starred restaurant, The Cellar and is a few steps from the shore where you will find award-winning fish and chip shops, restaurants, cafes, bars and a range of local shops.
You can enjoy walks along the Fife Coastal Path which runs through the village and afterwards, relax in the garden or in the comfortable lounge next to the wood –burning stove. Walker’s Neuk is the ideal base for visits to museums, historic castles, beautiful gardens and for exploring the picturesque East Neuk villages and coastal landscape. Boat trips to the world renowned Isle of May Bird Sanctuary and Observatory also run from Anstruther.
The area is famous for golf courses with a great selection of high standard links courses in the surrounding area. Anstruther is a 15 – 20 minute drive to St Andrews and its world-class Championship courses, Edinburgh, Perth, Stirling and Gleneagles are all within an hour’s drive.
The accommodation comprises a stepped entrance hall through to a spacious living/dining room with log-burning stove, a well equipped kitchen with carved wooden breakfast bar. The spacious double-bedroom has a 6ft zip/link bed (twin beds if required) with an additional guest bed. Bath and over-bath shower with toilet. Wi-Fi and TV app entertainment are included.
