Located in the Haut Languedoc Regional Park, in the foothills of the Massif de l'Espinouse, the "Terrestrial Attractions" cottage (4 Stars of France), located in "Hameau du Fau" (Municipality of Castanet le Haut) is positioned on the plateau of La Croix de Mounis / Albès, at 820 m above sea level.
It benefits from a vast panorama and a rich, varied and preserved natural environment, since it adjoins the "National Reserve of Fauna and Wild Flora of the Caroux Espinouse." Bighorn sheep and deer were introduced there in the 1960s, and the flora is abundant and varied.
The relief, very diverse, alternates between fir and beech forest, heather moors, meadows, rocks, rivers, caves ...
Established in the heart of nature, in a relaxing and peaceful setting, the charming cottage "Terrestrial Attractions" (4 Stars of France), is a farmhouse, typical of Haut Languedoc, completely renovated: the charm of the old with the comfort and facilities of today ... (pleasant living spaces and very well equipped, spacious individual rooms with private bathrooms, Internet access, ...)
We welcome you for turnkey stays, customizable as you wish (daily activities, entertainment or specific tailor-made stays possible), and offer you a complete change of scenery with nature as a playground.
All formulas are possible, from self-catering accommodation to the presence of a "chef" at home, from the contemplative walk to the "sensation" activity, cut to measure, we guarantee you to find the magic formula for perfect your stay with us.

.Configuration of the cottage (version 8 to 10 people):
-Living room of 50m2 with terrace of 30 m2.
-Living room of 40 m2.
-Room of 25 m2 (1 double bed) with private bathroom.
-15 m2 room (1 double bed) with private bathroom.
-Room of 20 m2 (3 beds 90) with private bathroom.
-20 m2 room (3 single beds) with private bathroom.
-Laundry room space.
-Local closed equipment.
-Spa (under conditions).
.Options possible on site:
-Restoration (meals prepared on site with fresh products from local producers).
-Activities (à la carte) carried out by us:
. Orientation course "Terroir".

Gite très spacieux, très propre, très bien équipé pour un très agréable séjour dans un endroit très calme.
Jean Claude est un hôte très disponible et très sympa.
Le seul point qui peut poser problème est la non réception téléphone dans le gîte mais disponible à une centaine de mètre du gite. Je recommande ce gîte

Le gite pour 10 personnes est à l'étage (d'un autre gîte plus grand), on ne peut donc accéder directement à l'espace vert au tables pique nique etc..., il faut descendre deux escaliers et contourner l'ensemble du bâtiment.
L'accès à la salle de jeux (baby foot) n'est pas possible pour la location familiale à 9-10 personnes.
L'accès à la terrasse ne peut être laissé ouvert en raison d'une invasion de chats errants (du voisin fermier).
A déconseiller pour de jeunes enfants (non sécurisation de certains espaces) avec "trou" d'une hauteur d'un étage.
Lieu certainement parfait pour des groupes en transit pour faire des activités sportives toute la journée aux alentours ou en hiver pour profiter uniquement de l'intérieur du gite au coin du feu.
Cela ne correspondait pas à notre recherche pour un rendez-vous familial (anniversaire 80 ans).
Gîte éloigné pour des visites.
Pas d'accès direct au jardin, nombreux escaliers, invasions des chats, plus un jeune chat qui a agonisé une journée avant de mourir au pied de la terrasse..
L'accueil du propriétaire est sympathique, il a fait intervenir ,sur quelques problèmes techniques, une personne rapidement.
Il y a un entretien sur les espaces extérieurs discutable.
La pièce qui sert de laverie (accès extérieur prêt du gîte au rez de chaussée) avec : lave linge, sèche linge et lavabo est sale, j'ai abandonné l'idée de pouvoir m'en servir...
L'annonce sur votre site prête à confusion entre les services proposés pour le grand gîte et l'accueil sur le gîte de l'étage uniquement.
