This was the sweetest spot. Private and clean rooms with a charming little common gathering area and beautiful outdoor patio with an amazing view. Stay in late February or early March and eat the fresh oranges right off the tidy orange tree in the back patio.
Seriously, the only thing I really disliked is how much I put the property staff out when my colleges both fell ill from food sickness that they must have gotten earlier on our trip. The host really came thru for us in a true time of need and postponed our departure time and room cleaning for hours while my colleges recovered enough to travel. Portugal is the best country and Casa Dona Eufémia is proof!

Clean, tidy and helpful.
For older visitors the pallet style bed in the room we stayed in is hard to get in and out of due to the fact that it’s only 30cm or so off the floor. A normal height bed is more appropriate as it’s needed to relax on to watch the tv. The steep ladder style stairs from the bedroom level to the communal room and balcony garden was daunting.
