Okay. I polled my husband and adult son and have combined their opinions with my own. The house is in a great location; right on the beach and next to the public access. It was clean, as was the bedding. The main floor furniture could use updating and we never got any of the tvs to work. The wifi is awful. We learned three days ahead of our reservation that the bathroom sink (we later found it was the bath on the main floor) would be out of service during our stay. If asked, we would have worked with the company to allow a plumber in to fix it. We spent 1/2 hour trying to figure out how to work the shower diverter there; special instructions would have been VERY helpful; and that the toilet is too low and takes a full twelve seconds of holding the handle to actually flush the bowl. We got a house so my son could cook, but he had major difficulties because only two of the burners work - and when you turn the working ones off - they don't always actually turn off; a major hazard. Finally, the upstairs storm door is installed improperly. The latch for it is located over the handle to the inside door. Several of my family hurt themselves closing the inside door when we left, including me. I had a deep, bloody gouge in my skin and my underlying tissue has still not recovered two weeks later. That is a lawsuit waiting to happen. Not by me but someone eventually will if not fixed.

Upon arrival, there was a strong, unpleasant odor in the property. The main bathroom toilet was not working and had to be fixed by us. Even after getting it to flush, it leaked from the base the entire stay, requiring us to keep towels on the floor to avoid stepping in water. On top of that, the main shower only provided luke warm water. These issues made the stay extremely uncomfortable and unacceptable. We believe a refund is warranted given the condition of the property and the lack of basic functionality.

This is an unfortunate review because the house is in a perfect place, fit all of us, well accommodated kitchen - everything we needed. The owner is doing a really nice job and is being provided a very huge disservice by her managing company Meredith Lodging. I have a rental and use VACASA - rent from places that use them.When I reserved this property I informed them I had a service animal that would be with me. I am a 100% Disabled Veteran and received an email back thanking me for my service and welcoming my animal - perfect.First night we are there we are coming back from a walk on the beach and a man, and his son accost me in the driveway, upset about the breed of my dog - just some rando. He called Meredith Lodging, and they called their private armed security on me and sent me a threatening email about a pet on the property. Once I explained everything to the officer, he and his supervisor gave me their cards, apologized for the violation of my rights, and said they would not be back, regardless of ongoing calls from Meredith.Please beware of this company - I emailed them right after it happened (Monday night) and they have still yet to reply.

We had a good time staying at this property during the king tides. The location and view were perfect with easy beach access, and it was a short drive to Taft, Boiler Bay, and Depot Bay. The house was a little outdated, but we had everything we needed, and the kids enjoyed the games and hot tub.

This property was absolutely amazing. Nestled between some cliff properties makes the beach access almost private. Our family came on a busy weekend. The house is very large and accommodating for a gathering. The other reviews about people complaining about access to the beach or outdated items are crazy. It was perfect.

This is our second time staying at this property. The view and beach access cannot be beat. My father has mobility challenges and he was able to go down to the beach several times because the access is so easy. The home is cozy and plenty of space for family game nights in front of the fire.

Start off with the house location and view is absolutely stunning, however the house itself needs some TLC small leaks and outdated appliances are showing their issues… also was a small sowbug problem in the downstairs bathroom. Although it’s a nice location the description is deceiving about the sea wall. It’s more than 7feet tall so you can’t walk straight down to the beach. The house was clean-ish but there were many problems. Bad plumbing, water pressure, horrible mattresses, cheap bedding, not well stocked kitchen, no charcoal or lighter for bbq, not one dvd appropriate for children, not one game with all the pieces…and so on. For the price point I would expect more. The positive of this place is the view.

We really enjoyed our visit. The house worked out great for three generations. The beach access was perfect, easy for the older folks. It was nice that it was so close, so if not everyone wanted to go they could stay at the house. we loved watching the sunset from the hot tub or the deck. It was a great location!

Pros: right on the beach, great view and very quiet. Bedding was clean. Great location Cons: Bathtub very slippery not safe, stairs incredibly steep inside and not standard size, toilet upstairs hardly flushed and was very low to ground. Furniture and overall appearance inside very old. Part of floor had a slant to it.

We loved this home! Ocean view was fantastic. Beach access was so easy. We loved that all of the older kids could sleep downstairs. They had a great time with the ping pong table and with the basement door shut the adults sleeping upstairs had peace and quiet all evening. Excellent home for our needs. We'll definitely stay here again. However, if you have a guest with mobility issues you won't like the stairs.

We loved this house, it was perfect for our family gathering, super convenient beach location with kids so trips between the house and beach were not a big deal at all. House is older and not updated but makes sense with beach location and the mess of beach activities. Hot tub was the best perk! Manager checked in via text and sent a maintenance person quickly to fix a bathtub issue. Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again.

Great stay in a great home. Plenty of room for everyone and the location can’t be beat. We had some trouble getting into the home-we were given the wrong code for the lock box, and the hot tub was not working. We were told it would be looked at while we were there and it wasn’t, and that was disappointing as it was a major reason we selected this home. Still, overall a great stay.

Just two general issues with the property. I was originally given the wrong lock box code and it took 2 hours standing outside for a manager to return my call to try to look up the correct code so we could enter the house. 2. Hot-tub was not functioning. Promises were made to send someone to look at it , but no one came while we were there. Otherwise the house and location were good.

This place was awesome. Its dated, but clean and very spacious. Really loved all the living room space and the couches are super comfy. Great place to sit with a book with the beautiful view. My only gripe is the hot tub didnt work, which was a large reason I chose this house but whatever. We still enjoyed the property very much and plan on coming back sometime. Kitchen is pretty well stocked but when we do return, I will probably bring my own pans, im pretty picky

Location was great. Layout of the house was great. Very disappointed in the cleanliness. We chose this house because it had a hot tub. The hot tub didn't work so we couldn't even use it during our stay. I had to clean all surfaces before feeling like I was in a clean area. Despite these things, our group had a good stay. We didn't let these things ruin our trip. There were just some disappointing parts.

We had a nice time at this house with only a few glitches. The code for the key box did not work and I had to call to get another code. There was no information in the house for wi-fi access so I had to call for that as well. The advertised hot tub did not work but a call to management got us a partial refund for this inconvenience. The house is in a great spot for beach access and was just the right size for our three family group. We would stay there again.
