About this cottage rental
Combining modern style with characterful touches and incredible rural views, this beautiful barn has a serene ambience. The entrance at the rear brings you into the boot room/utility area, handy for shedding outdoor wear after a countryside ramble. Steps lead down into the expansive kitchen/dining room with the glass-panelled gallery and living area above it on two sides, creating a sense of space. The room benefits from underfloor heating and modern appliances. French doors lead out to the enclosed, suntrap terrace, ideal for BBQs and relaxing with a drink in hand. From the kitchen, a few steps lead down to the spacious super-king master bedroom which boasts lovely countryside views and a luxurious en-suite. Upstairs, the living room has comfy seating in front of the modern wood burner. The highlight, however, is the huge window which offers magnificent views all year round; the owners have left a pair of binoculars to allow you to catch a glimpse of owls flying past. A double bedroom is also on this floor and has the use of a separate shower room.
There is so much to see and do in this countryside idyll. Less than half a mile away is Bishop Nympton with its community-run village shop and post office. The busy market town of South Molton lies just over 3 miles away and provides a range of independent shops and amenities including a twice-weekly pannier market and supermarket. Popular village pubs such as those in Molland and Kings Nympton are within 8 miles. The golden expanse of Saunton Sands (25 miles), a dog-friendly beach, or the unspoilt natural beauty of Exmoor National Park (9 miles) are well worth an adventurous day out.
