A terrific place to stay for everything in and around Fort William

A terrific place to stay; close located to Fort William (20 min drive); the flat was spotlessly clean, well-provisioned, and quiet; the washing machine was appreciated

Had forgotten how stunning this area was, must return.

For hillwalking, gravel / mountain biking it's an excellent jump off point for a multitude of long or short days out. For longer stays, the well stocked Spar in Spean Bridge (5 mins by car) negates the need to go to Fort William which can be quite busy. Wonderful scenery and the reminder of what the night skies should look like when there's no light pollution. Not forgetting the helpful but unintrusive hosts who pointed out some interesting ways to spend time (you'll have to go).

Thursdays poor weather, but that was apparently outwith Allt Mor's terms and conditions. Still, a chance to rest after 2 hard days, some reading in peace and do a local Graham in Glen Roy once conditions improved later in the day, as they oft do.

Beautiful, comfortable place to stay!

It’s a beautiful little apartment in such a perfect location in the Highlands! It was spotless and Val our host was so bubbly and welcoming. There was some stuff already stocked in the kitchen like pasta, rice and cereals, which was a great touch. It was very spacious as well with a small selection of games and puzzles.

A Real Gem

Val made us very welcome and has thought of everything! The hot tub was much appreciated after climbing Ben Nevis. Parking was right outside the chalet and the kitchen was very well kitted out.

A shelf in the shower would very handy and the loo seat had a wobble and needs adjusting.

Very comfortable apartment

Val and Stuart could not have been more helpful. They gave us lots of tips and ideas for restaurants and safe cycling trails and allowed us to keep and charge our e-bikes in their garage. The location near Roybridge, is convenient for touring the area and a 15 minute drive to Glen Nevis, to climb Ben Nevis. The apartment was comfortable, spacious and bright, and had every convenience including a lovely balcony with excellent views.

A comfortable, welcoming space.

Val, the homeowner, was a delight to meet. She clearly designed the studio apartment with love and care. The entire space was welcoming and comfortable. Thank you Val for choosing fabulous, warm, bright lighting instead of sterile blue or not-bright-enough bulbs! The kitchen area was well stocked with necessities. Parking was easy. The bathroom and all the windows in the studio were fabulous. I had a lovely views of the Three Sisters Mountains (?) from the little balcony.

The Wifi is super slow! (Which I learned, after the fact, is common in rural UK.) I'm a digital nomad and had hoped to catch up on a lot of work while there, but the internet was too slow for much productivity. Very firm bed. I had been camping several nights prior to arriving here. I was looking forward to a nice, soft comfy bed .... and it was really hard. If you prefer firm beds, you will sleep well here. There's nothing to do right around the house. Not even a walk because the house is on a busy road with no pedestrian paths. But that also means it's the perfect location, to leave each day to explore the beautiful surroundings. :-)

Disappointing

The views

It could have been perfect... but it wasn´t... We tried to pay in our arrival but our bank app didn´t work, so the owner told us to pay in cash... two hours later our bank app worked again and we called her to pay, but she said it was too late and better to pay cash. The following day we try to pay with a credit card, but she didn´t accept payment with a credit card, only cash... because if we pay with credit card she had to pay the bank commission. So we had to go to Fort William looking for ATM to get the cash (not all ATM gives you that amount of money and they charge us for each time you do a withdrawal) To sum up, nice place to be but we didn´t enjoy at all, because we felt bullying and harassment to pay in cash, and not be allowed to pay with a credit card. If you have had issues with others customers, fine, ask for a upfront payment and we will do so, but please don't do thin again to ant other client or you will ruin their holidays with arguments, and your business. Thanks

The area was beautiful. Val was lovely and very helpful in giving us ideas on where to go for activities and places to eat in the area etc. The cabin itself was very clean and well kept, was a lovely place to stay!

Wonderful chalet and hot tub - we had a lovely time!

Beautiful chalet in a lovely location with everything you need for a relaxing stay. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating and we look forward to coming back soon! Everything was very clean and we found plenty of exciting activities to do nearby such as white water rafting and quad biking.

A great place to stay and a great base to explore the highlands

We were met by the owner and given a thorough introduction to the flat and the facilities. The bed was very comfortable. We had everything we needed in the apartment and there were unexpected extras, such as tea and coffee, available. The place was quiet and matched the description exactly. We felt safe, secure and comfy.

Since we ate in, an oven would have been good. A drying rack for dishes would have helped too. Although the TV has Freeview channels, very few of them were actually available.

Highly recommend

Host met us on arrival and personally explained everything. Property was spotless, very quiet, safe, has excellent hosts, great location, well equipped, and has everything you need in a studio apartment for a several nights stay near Ft. William. Guests from outside UK should be aware that a small fee may be needed for a credit card payment upon arrival. The only negative is that space is limited and part of the ceiling is slanted on both sides because of the roof line. There is not much space to store suitcases, etc. The studio is adequate for two people but not recommended for more.

Definitely a top pick for self-catering in this part of Scotland.

Excellent again. The owner went out of her way to be helpful. Delightful rural location with great mountain view. Excellent kitchen with coffee machine, good fridge, microwave. Very good bathroom with double-head shower (luxury!). Little patio outside is perfect for taking the air (or looking at the stars). Washing machine and dryer both worked well. Really good 5G wifi.

Nothing significant. The bathroom door sometimes won't stay closed. A tall person like me has to watch the low ceilings.

Excellent accommodation, nicely fitted out and all in good condition. A perfect location to base myself whilst climbing in the region. Val and Scott were fabulous hosts and ensured everything was ready for my arrival and were readily available, if I had any questions (I didn't as everything was covered so well). Lovely and warm room, great shower, dedicated parking space. Access to laundry room. Overall a great place for me to spend the week - thank-you!

It was perfect and we had a fantastic holiday. We will definitely be coming back!

The location was beautiful with a stunning view of the mountains and a balcony. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. The studio was very clean and cosy, the bed was very comfortable, the shower was powerful and the heating system was very effective. The location of the studio was perfect for exploring local sites, such as the Commando Memorial, the Ben Nevis Range and 30 minutes from the Glenfinnan Viaduct by car. Fort William is only a 15 minute drive where there are numerous supermarkets and amenities. Spean Bridge, a 2 minute drive away, has a couple of brilliant restaurants and a shop. Overall a fantastic location with terrific hosts and excellent accommodation.

Allt Mor - a comfortable haven to return to after a full day in the great outdoors in the highlands

Extremely modern, well designed apartment with all the comforts of home. Val was very friendly and helpful. Private balcony with a scenic view a real plus as was access to a private garden area.

Home from home

It is one of those rare places you stay where you struggle to fault anything. A very warm Scottish welcome. Everything you could need already there for you. I have never been somewhere self catering where so much was already provided. It is also a very cosy place to stay. Beautifully decorated, like a home away from home. The property is in a very tranquil location with beautiful views of Ben Nevis from the balcony. Its an ideal base for exploring that region of Scotland, whether you are there to relax or there to get out into the mountains. I will definitely be returning.
