The room was lovely - the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was very clean. The view from the room was stunning. The restaurant we had hoped to use was closed so there was a steep walk down to the other restaurant. There was an excellent selection of food and drinks. The service was a little slow however the view of the Duoro and it's tributary was beautiful. Overall we had a lovely stay here.
The steep walk back from dinner and there was no where to sit and have a drink with our friends.

The location was fantastic! What a stunning view of the valley and river Duro from our room and the breakfast terrace .The pool was large and super clean . Rooms were standard but clean and fresh .Loved how it was built with slate nestled in the hills . Easy drive from hotel to pinhão and Lamego .
Whilst the breakfast was good with a great choice the buffet dinner was not great unfortunately. Just basic quality foods , quite tasteless main courses. We made the choice to eat there since we arrived late but it was the wrong decision.
Apart from that we thoroughly enjoyed the hotel !
