My wife and I had the absolute best stay. Started out a little rough with delayed flights, arriving on island at 2am. Property owner, Joao was incredible and was in constant contact to make sure everything was ok for us. He even picked us up at airport as our rental car co was closed and brought us to house and then back again in morning to retrieve car. He even picked us up a few groceries so we had something due to late arrival. House itself was wonderful, the view is nothing short of amazing!!! Loved watching cruise ships coming in and out of Funchal as well as the Portuguese Naval ship maneuvering out front. Our vacation was a hiking vacation and the place was within almost an hour of every hike and yet outside of the hustle of Funchal. The bed was very comfortable, kitchen nice and let me say again, the views, WOW!! Lastly again Joao was wonderful and help set the tone for an amazing stay, we will always remember his kindness and prompt responses to any questions we had! Definitely will return!

Great host, great house with amazing views. The house is clean, it is in a really quiet area, it is spacious (particularly for 2 people) and has all facilities one could possibly want. We had a great 5 days and look forward to returning. Thank you, João.

What an incredible place. The view is spectacular and the place itself is a total treat in all regards. The location just outside of Funchal works well especially if you have a car. The host is very welcoming and more than happy to share personal tips (which were excellent) from his lifelong experience on the island. Would stay there again without a moment’s hesitation.
