Spacious apartment with balcony and elevator with mountain views

We had a wonderful stay at the apartment. It was perfectly located for day trips in the region and into Munich. The host met us as we pulled into the parking lot. The apartment had coffee and other essentials. There was even a jar of home made jelly waiting for us. The apartment was the perfect size for 4 adults. We would definitely recommend staying here.

The owner of the property is really nice and helpful. The property itself is spacious, clean and tidy. The location is convenient.

I can only second all the other positive reviews - this spacious apartment is truly wonderful, conveniently located between Tutzing and Herrsching in a tiny Bavarian village. I have never stayed at a cleaner VRBO; the owners thought of everything to make the apartment and our stay special. They also provided helpful additional information on the area, were super easy to reach and responded quickly to questions. Based on other reviews, we decided to rent a car but also made use of the 9 Euro Ticket and commuted by bus and train into Munich on a regular basis (bus stop in front of the house). It was very nice not having to deal with traffic and parking in Munich!! All in all - a great stay in a scenic area and in a fantastic apartment. We hope to return soon.

My family very much enjoyed our week in Machtlfing. The village is very easy to get to with a car and is in the heart of a farming community - so expect to hear cows and tractors! - but otherwise it is tranquil and beautiful setting. Bus stops are just outside the house so it would probably be easy to explore by bus and link to trains to travel around the area by public transport. The apartment is very spacious, comfortable and modern in layout and fittings and provided ideal accommodation for our family of four. Our stay was during the heat-wave so air conditioning (which we expected from the property listing but was absent) would have improved our comfort, though Maria quickly provided fans to give some cooling of the rooms. The overhang design of the apartment roof and window blinds also provide some shade. Parking in the yard was straightforward and access to the apartment always easy with roomy stairs and a lift. The balcony was a lovely place to relax in the evening and also useful to dry laundry. With a car we found it easy to travel northwards to Munich and southwards into the Alps, as well as short visits to the beautiful lakes and villages within easy reach of the property. Andechs Monastery and Beer garden were a lovely place to visit in the evening. Food shopping was no problem with plenty of choice in Lidl in Tutzing and supermarkets and a variety of shops in more distant towns. Marie provided a warm welcome and farewell and showed a genuine interest and care in ensuring we enjoyed our stay. For us it added up to the perfect holiday property providing a chance to explore an area during the day and evening and all you need at home to relax and refresh overnight.
