About this house rental

XThis home has three bedrooms and two baths with sleeping for up to ten guests. The side entrance has a convenient coded door lock, eliminating the hassles of keys. Inside, guests find a washer and dryer on their way to the equipped kitchen. Pack some of your favorite eats and make a tasty meal for you and your group. The living area features a seating area with flat-screen television with satellite service. Two sliding glass doors provide ample natural lighting and are exits to the brick patio. Another sliding door off the dining area leads to the rear wooden deck. A propane grill and picnic table are ready for your great cookout. This home can accommodate up to two vehicles in the onsite driveway. There are golf carts available, which are the best way to see all of Put-in-Bay. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The communication was great...they communicated well on check in time, check procedures. However, for what we paid I think the place could have been a little more updated and well maintained. There was a previous hole on the wall looks like had been covered up but it was not done very well it was atleast 3feet, there was paint splatter all over the place our bathroom the toilet paper roll holder have been torn off the wall. We also rented our golf clubs from the island club rental as well and the maintenance guy was very rude to me and our seatbelt did not work and my niece ended up falling out of the golf cart due to this issue.

Reviewer Comments: My sister and I, and our two families (with four school aged kids between us), stayed here for two nights during the week to take advantage of lower prices and avoid the crowds. It was great. The management was very responsive to all of my questions before hand and all of our needs while we were there. The place was clean, comfortable, and conveniently located, and it was nice having the pool. Would definitely choose again next time! Also, we love Put in Bay; we have a long history here. This time we tried something different - parasailing. It was so fun! And a sunset pizza party at the state park located right near the island club. Beautiful.

There was a dead cockroach in one bathroom on the floor and a dead earwig on the kitchen floor. The master bathroom door jam had about 4-5 inches of mold up the side of it and the sliding door curtains were also water stained/dirty. I understand from the note that foreign exchange students were being used to clean the property, so I’m guessing spot checks by the owners were not being done. I also understand from the set up it seems the more common renters are younger kids there to party as a group, but it should still be clean well each time. We had a great time and enjoyed our stay on the island and plan to visit again in warmer weather, but will probably find another rental.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Though the staff we encountered was pleasant and friendly, the rental itself was less than satisfactory. Upon entry the unit appeared to be clean. However it was far from clean. The kitchen was literally infested with ants. The pictures shown of the unit were slightly off. The 3 white bar chairs was false. Only 1 chair tall enough to sit at the island, and 1 table sized chair that was useless for sitting at the island. We cooked most of our meals in the unit. Upon removing dishes to use we started coming across dirty dishes. One of the skillets still had whatever had been cooked from previous renters left in it. The picnic table in the front was rather wobbly and we chose not to use it. Waking the 2nd day and starting out with coffee and some breakfast the kitchen drawers were less than satisfactory. There was an overnight visitor that didn't get invited to our stay, left droppings all over the utensils, silverware and in every drawer in kitchen. I removed everything cleaned all the drawers washed all the utensils and then started the day. This happened every night. The patio door handle out back was broken. There was clothing found behind one of the beds that was not any of ours. The kitchen table had only 4 chairs and the table was terribly warped. All this was reported to the lady driving the Red truck and I assumed they would come address some of the issues, such as ants, mice problems and the broken door handle. Noone ever showed up. We rented a golf cart for 2days at $70. A day so a small discount on the cart rental was it. Very disappointing. We had 4 children all under 12 and 5 adults and found that dinner or any meal together was not really possible with the provided accommodations.

Wonderful experience for the most part. No oven mits, salt and pepper, or basically anything in the kitchen/bathrooms for us to use immediately. Also master bathroom had a panel consistently falling off the side of the jacuzzi tub (i think it was for maintenance?) and the toilet paper holder kept falling off the wall. Other than the minor things, it was a great stay for our annual trip

My only hang up was it was difficult to see the cabins numbers when we arrived after sundown. Oh and also have the passcode and cabin number pulled up before you arrive because it is very much a dead zone for your cell phone.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Upon arrival we immediately noticed one of the sliding glass doors did not work. We then realized the one that did work, did not lock. On our last night this led to us waking up to a random male stranger on the couch that was so drunk the night before he mistakenly took our house for his. Hence this would have not happened if our doors locked. Very scary. We did not have reception nor any kind of wifi the entire time, which is the reason I couldn't call and complain about these issues, for the information was in my email and I could not accces it. There were only 3 rolls of toilet paper left which was not enough for an 8 person house with the majority of them being women. This goes the same for paper towels and trash bags, thank God I brought my own. There was also no dishwasher soap to wash the dishes or a scrub brush to wash the dishes by hand. The sweeper also did not work. There were dents in the wall where you could tell some drunk person punched, lamps/lights that did not work, and outlets that did not work. It was just a huge disappointment for the amount of money we paid to stay there. Overall this place was pretty much a dump.

Two of the sliding doors were difficult to operate but it sounded like these were being replaced very soon after speaking with management. Everyone that I spoke with from Island Club Rentals was great to work with and made every process easy. We also rented a golf cart through them and had the same great experience. Would definitely stay with Island Club again.

Its fairly clean although we did immediately find a t-shirt and glasses that were left behind from prior tenant. Not sure how this got missed by "cleaning" staff. Regardless, we had a great time. My only negative is the late check in time. With as much as these units are I would hope to get 2pm or 3pm check in time. 4pm check in time is very late especially since check out time is 11am.

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall it was a comfortable cabin however the kitchen pan selection was sparse, the water pressure in the shower was almost non existent and my sons had black feet after a few hours of walking on the carpet. The cabin served its purpose but I will probably not go back. We did however visit another cabin that had been updated and seemed cleaner. Our first night at 2am we were woken up to loud screaming at the back door. Our first thought was our 6 year old was hurt. After jumping out of bed and running to the living room we found out it was a group of highly intoxicated females trying to get into our cabin. When we yelled it was not their cabin, they yelled back that it was and continued trying to get inside before they eventually left. We called the police who checked the area. When we informed the "manager" who dropped off the golf cart the next day, she didn't seemed concerned at all any all but shrugged it off as if that's a normal occurrence. The golf cart rules were explained to us, including not letting any children operate the cart all while the cabin next door had kids driving up and down the street with other kids in the cart. The same "manager" saw what was happening and literally shrugged that off too. Why have rules if you don't plan on e forcing them?
