Spent one night but for the price I paid it was perfect. Pool to cold down after the hot day and friendly family. Loved their bathroom with stones on the floor!

Ce fut l’un des plus plaisant séjours de notre voyage au Sri Lanka. La famille nous a reçu avec gentillesse et générosité… la nourriture était délicieuse et généreuse. L’emplacement est idéal, tranquille mais a deux pas du centre ville. Le safari était a la hauteur de nos attentes. Le véhicule était tres confortable. Et la piscine un plus rafraîchissant.
Malheureusement, malgré les efforts des propriétaires la qualité de l’eau dans la piscine s’est détériorer. Nous sommes cependant persuadé qu’ils corrigeront la situation rapidement…

The hotel was very affordable, and the quality of the room and pool was excellent. Everything was clean and well maintained.
The staff was truly exceptional. We arrived around 12:30 AM and were warmly welcomed. They quickly arranged a driver for our 5:00 AM safari at a fair price, and even prepared breakfast for us at 4:00 AM during Ramadan.

Well to be honest, there were a lot of good things. It was close to the main street, but still quiet and away. The family was very nice and helpful. Breakfast was nice. Also booked a safari through them. It was 18000 LRK per person
So is it a scam? All the rumors about the whole town and scams regarding safari and cheap stays. It was so unclear at the beginning. But after a long research we realised that the prices are the same everywhere so there is not really a scam. Our jeep was one of the better ones compared. It was OK after all.
In 2026 Feb the enterance to the park was ~11 000 LRK per person and the rest was for the actual safari.
