About this house rental
Our house "les Bambous Bleus" Charming family house by the river in Port d´Envaux. Ideally located by the river, in a quiet area, this charming house offers you a magnificent view of the Charente.
Its pretty tree-lined garden slopes gently down to the river where a private mooring will delight bathers and fishermen.
The house is located along the route of the owners' houses in the very typical Charente village of Port d´Envaux labeled "stone and water". This path leads along the Charente to a small river beach with supervised swimming, with sand and games for children, boat and canoe rentals as well as a charming tavern. You will also find in the village 2 renowned restaurants as well as a pizzeria and a bakery.
In summer, numerous events enliven the village: a fishing competition and fireworks on July concerts.
500 meters from the village, a unique place the "lapidiales" federates stonemasons from all over the world who offer demonstrations, cutting courses and an open-air museum.
Nearby are the castles of Panloy and Crazanne, 9 km from the town of Saintes, with its numerous Gallo-Roman remains, its markets, its museums ... 30 minutes from the town of Cognac and its cellars, 40 minutes from the beaches of Royan , Marennes and its oysters, and the remarkable Palmyre zoo, one hour from the city of Rochelle, its port, its aquarium, 120 km from Bordeaux and its vineyards ...
The Flow Vélo also goes to Port d ’Envaux, this national cycle route connects the Ile d'Aix in Charente-Maritime to Thiviers in the Dordogne by crossing the Charente river.
The house is pleasantly decorated with regional objects and Charentais furniture in a family home spirit.
The house includes:
On the ground floor: an entrance, a large living-dining room with sofas, a beautiful freestone fireplace, television, an equipped kitchen (dishes, dishwasher, microwave, etc.) with direct access to the garden. A bedroom with a 130 bed. Toilets.
Upstairs 2 other bedrooms: a large bedroom with a pretty canopy 140 bed + a single bed 80, a second large bedroom with two 80 beds (suitable for 2 people or a couple), a showeroom with a bidet.
In a small outbuilding in the garden houses the washing machine. We also provide you with: a large barbecue, a garden table and chairs, sun loungers, a hammock, water toys ...

Nos vacances dans cette belle région Saintongaise furent excellentes et cette charmante maison charentaise de Port d'Envaux fut, pour nous et nos amis, venus nous rendre visite, une belle découverte. Spacieuse, décorée avec goût , avec un beau jardin, en bordure de la Charente et proche du centre du village, nous y avons passé de très bons moments. Au mois de Septembre, tout est calme et il est agréable d'y séjourner et de s'y reposer après les visites. Merci aussi pour votre accueil - apéritif, figues, confitures - toutes ces attentions ont immédiatement donné le sentiment de bienvenue. L'équipement pour cuisiner est complet, mais nous également pu apprécier les très bons restos de Port d'Envaux - Le Gabarier et L'auberge de la Charente.

Nous rêvions de découvrir le charme des demeures charentaises... nous avons été comblés! Cette maison est vaste, chaleureuse, décorée avec goût. Le jardin est charmant. Quand il fait beau, on déjeuner à l'ombre d'un grand figuier et on prend son café dans les transats. Et au fond, il y a la Charente, la lenteur languide de ce fleuve qui apporte tant de quiétude.
D'un point de vue touristique, la région offre beaucoup de ressources. On peut, bien sûr visiter les ports, les plages, les îles sur la côte. On peut aussi découvrir l'arrière-pays, faire une croisière sur la Charente, visiter Saintes, une ville remarquable, faire des randonnées sur les sentiers en admirant la nature ; partout de grands arbres majestueux, des oiseaux, un bâti rural intéressant.
Merci aux propriétaires d'avoir su mettre à disposition en location cette maison familiale, chargée de souvenirs. Faut-il l'avouer? Nous l'avons quittée à regret...
