Stay here and feel like you are going back to "Grandma's house"! This "far in the boonies" home is a great place to get away from it all. Large old farm home, well kept and clean. Located far away from any town or city. Stay for one quiet night OR a week to get-away-from-it-all! Plenty of acres to hike & explore. Miles of small roads and trails to hike. Plenty of lawn to stretch out and fields to romp through. Small creek on the property to wade & splash in. Explore the old barn and watch the stars at night. Great for your kids, dogs and/or pets.

Good communication with the host. Enjoyed the flea market in Hazen. Best pizza at Mama Rita’s in Worthville, PA. The walk around the property was a good workout . Caretaker of the home made it very comfortable.

This place is the perfect quite get away. If you forget anything they truly have you covered. Its like walking into grandmas house back in the day. You see the memories that were made and i love how they let strangers enjoy that atmosphere. You have deer that come into the back yard to watch in the mornings and evening. Its all around a 10 out of 10 experience. We loved it so much we are booking another stay soon bc our time there just wasnt long enough.

I can not express what a wonderful experience it was to stay in this cozy but roomy farmhouse. The owners go way beyond what people expect and need in a stay away from home. From dental floss and ear swabs to any utensil or cook wear you may need for meals. It goes down as my best experience in a vacation house and setting. I thank the owners for their hospitality and attention to detail. God Bless these wonderful people, The aerial view of the farm was taken by my nephew with his drone. Simply beautiful!

The location was lovely, and the owner was courteous and helpful in welcoming us to the property. During our stay there was an issue with the property. We contacted the owner, followed instructions, and sought solutions under their guidance, but it was unfortunately one that didn't have any quick solutions. The owner worked to find alternatives and get it resolved but was unable to under the short notice. Thanks to his kindness and understanding the owner gave a full refund for our stay. It can't be easy keeping an old farm house in working condition, and I don't know of any better way Ed could have handled this situation. His patience, communication, problem solving methods, and understanding of the situation was greatly appreciated, and I hope we have the chance to stay there at a later time.

Exactly as described, everything you would need is provided. Plenty of extra towels and linens, as well as fully equipped kitchen. If you want to get away from the noise in the city, this is for you. Close to Brookville, New Bethlehem and Punxsytawny.

We had a lovely stay in this very spacious home. Wonderful wildlife all around: hummingbirds, a family of deer in the field just behind the house, minnows in the creek, and fireflies at night. Everything is well organized, and communication with the host was excellent. Next time we'll stay longer!

The little farm house was centrally located for all the places we drove to visit while celebrating our anniversary over the weekend. Having grown up on a farm, it brought back a lot of memories. It was peaceful, rarely noticing the once in a blue moon vehicle driving past. We had clear nights when we stayed and the millions of stars visible was just like i remembered on our farm. Communication with the owners was great, any and all questions were responded to right away. The hospitality they provide is over above and beyond, truly warming.

This property is amazing! Plenty of room, lots of games and movies for entertainment, great location, beautiful trails to hike, a creek to splash around in, fire pit and picnic area to gather around...The list goes on and on! We had a large group including 2 children and a toddler and we had space to spare! This house truly has that "Grandma's house" feel.... Old screen door, country crafts and decor, comfy furniture, even a kitchen table to gather round and chit chat with whoever's cooking just like at Grandma's house. This property had EVERYTHING. I overpacked toiletries/first aid/sunscreen/bug spray etc and needed NONE of it. I found everything we needed in the bathroom cabinets. They also had pet supplies, cleaning supplies, pet toys, kids toys, tons of movies, extra bedding/blankets/linens, dish detergent, laundry detergent, etc. I've been to rentals where you had to bring all that with you. Not here! It's all included. They even had food in the cabinets and some frozen dinners and pizzas that we could have just in case we hadn't gone shopping before checking in. This place is incredible. It's so comfy and accommodating. It felt like we were staying with family and they had everything provided for us so we could just relax and unwind. The location was perfect, close enough to town but far away enough that we saw very little traffic. It's very peaceful and quiet. The owners were fantastic, communicated quickly, and we're super friendly. Definitely coming back!

Incredibly maintained super clean nostalgic farmhouse with absolutely everything (and more) you need. It does not get any more family and pet friendly than this!! Super prompt and thorough communication. Thoughtful labels and cute little signs strategically placed to quickly acclimate you to where things are or helpful instructions. Loved the family photos and artwork, the games and the office were much appreciated too! Only stayed a night so we didn’t get a full appreciation of the property. Favoriting for our next trip through PA!

We loved our stay at the Hetrick's incredible farm house. I started each morning sitting on the back porch, listening to the birds and hoping to see a bear in the corn fields. We enjoyed checking out the barn, basement and attic and imagining all the activities that had happened there. Thank you for sharing your beautiful place! We especially loved the nest of baby birds under one of the window awnings!!

This property features every comfort needed and then some. Air conditioning units everywhere needed, box fans, baby and child needs and entertainment it's all there! The hosts have been more than accommodating for our needs and states everything CLEARLY their rules / requests, appliance usage instructions, and provide notes wherever one might question something. It was a very homey atmosphere. It was like going to a relative’s home to visit. I loved the property, perfect if you’re looking to get away from it all! We’ve already decided to book it again next year.

The home is very clean, very well stocked with food, snacks, cleaning supplies, cookware, firewood, you won’t need a thing. The place is extremely comfortable, you will feel like you were at home. The family pictures made you feel like you were in a house, not a hotel room. It’s very close to Route 80, not far from some really cool towns like Clearfield and Punxsutawney. Try the giant burgers and steaks at Denny’s Beer Barrel Pub in Clearfield! Nice walking area in the field by the hill side, and down to the creek by the old barn. Owner was very easy to communicate with and available for questions. The outdoor fire pit is close to a picnic, table under a shelter, you are going to want to have some hot dog and brat roasts. Made for a great memory, hope to be back with more family.

This house is exactly as advertised. What it doesn’t have in bells and whistles (dishwasher, wifi), it makes up for with homeyness. Loved the art, the giant foof, and watching the deer frolic through the yard in the morning. We also appreciated the extended info prior to check-in and the care to make us feel at home. This spot was just what we needed in the middle of a long trip.

Our stay at the house was truly lovely and unlike any place we’ve booked in the past. We can’t express how warm and welcome we felt as soon as we walked in. And we had anything and everything we could ask for- not a thing to worry about. Peaceful and beautiful surroundings for miles, which we enjoyed as much as our doggo. We could certainly feel the love and joy experienced in the house, between family photos and notes from past visitors. And we appreciate being able to enjoy the special spot that is the Hetrick homestead.

We loved our stay. The house was clean, cozy, and homey. It felt like staying with family rather than a rental. There were so many thoughtful touches. The hosts were the best! Incredibly accommodating, kind and overall amazing! Would highly recommend and definitely plan to stay here again. My family and I were making a trip to revisit the area with our grandmother and they setup everything for us in advance. The home had everything we could possibly need and there are super helpful notes posted all over to help with any questions you may have. The home has tons of privacy and even in the brutal summer heat there were window a/c units and large fans in each room so we were always comfortable. Still can't believe how amazing the stay was!

The check-in/out processes were very simple. Ed & Becky were very communicative and thorough in explaining everything we needed to knowir our stay. The house was wonderful, clean, and very homey. All closets were labeled and there was air conditioning available, which was nice during the peak hot temperature times. The outdoor space is a dream. We thoroughly enjoyed our time outside looking out at the beautiful views. Cell signal was a hit or miss depending on carrier (ATT had the best service, Tmobile the worst). I would highly recommend this house for a quiet, relaxing vacation.
