About this farm stay rental
The Patchen Hill Farm House, Tree Farm & Arboretum is a wonderful old farm house on 120 acres with a barn, apple orchards, berry bushes, forest trails, ponds and hardwood trees. The farm house has 3 bedrooms, a game room with two additional beds, a beautiful dining room, a well equipped kitchen and round kitchen table with a view, two full bathrooms, a formal sitting room, a family room, office/laundry room, pantry, entry room, and deck.
It is a wonderful old home with charm and vintage appeal. You will have the whole house to yourself. It is much the way our parents had it complete with Swedish, German, Icelandic and African décor and adornments. The house comfortably sleeps 8 people with potential room for a few more with provided air mattresses. It is pet friendly.
There is an arboretum on the property with examples of all the trees that grow native to Pennsylvania. The farm house is away from it all on a country dirt road with beautiful scenery, wild life, and peace and quiet.
The marked forest trails wind thru the woods and tree farm and are great for walking, hiking or mountain bikes. In winter the apple orchard along side the house provides great sled riding and sleds are provided. We also have lawn games such as corn hole, bocce ball, Kubb (Swedish game), and lawn darts. The house has a game room with bumper a pool table and games and art supplies for the kids. The deck sports outdoor seating with a charcoal grill. There is an outdoor fire pit as well.
The house is well furnished and has an office work space, washer, dryer, refrigerator / freezer with an additional full refrigerator and full freezer in the entry room. The kitchen has numerous appliances such as microwave, dishwasher, Keurig, rice maker, toaster oven, toaster, kitchen aid, stove, oven, turkey oven, cooking utensils, place settings. ice maker, etc.
