Antas Guest House

The property was absolutely beautiful very well pointed. The decor was really lovely and homie. The pool was incredible. Just an incredibly nice day.

The shower pressure was very wonderful after a long day of walking the Camino greatly appreciated. I loved the lawn up in the back where the pool was located. It just felt so nice to relax.

It was in a great location on our Camino! Communication with proprietor was excellent. Offering of Pilgrim dinner was nice. Beds were comfortable and heater alleviated the humidity, as it was raining steadily. Oh and it was very clean!

The bathroom was very small. We had no trouble with it, but a larger person might. On a positive note, the WC being separate from the shower room was nice,

I loved the whole place. It was a mansion house with some parts of it that had Ben converted to house pilgrims. It was on the Camino Portuguese Coastal Way. Stayed in a twin room with my friend. The host was really friendly and went out of her way to support. Lovely clean bed and very clean room. Lots of facilities, including the ability to buy wine and beer. 🍺

I was really looking forward to staying here. As people have mentioned, the unheated pool and the lawn area around it are nice. We met the owner and she seemed nice.

This property is ready for a remodel or some tender loving care from the owner. The room I stayed in was not thoroughly clean, and I had to kill over 20 flies. The pillows are a joke—horrible. The mattress itself was reasonably comfortable, but I am a small person. I’m not sure what a big person would think. The bathroom sink had a small decorative plant sitting on the sink, and the plant was dead. The soap holder is chipped where you have to press down to get soap. The shower was missing the holder for the handheld portion—awkward. The curtains were difficult to open and shut, and they don’t fully cover the glass area. The instructions about using the kitchen were so confusing before we arrived that we didn’t know if we would be able to use it. It turns out we could, but by then we had bought food that did not require any preparation. Many places have complementary coffee and tea, but this place does not. The room my friend stayed in had some kind of problem with the AC and she had to flip the breaker switch every time it turned off, which was frequent. There was a fan in her room that turned off after about 20 minutes of use as well. So maybe it’s an electrical issue. The common patio area was messy. With more attention to detail, this could be a nice place to stay. I found myself counting the time until I could leave!
