The Mill

I loved the beams and barn door and setting of the property. Host was welcoming and provided milk for a cup of tea. Bed was super comfy.

Although outside garden furniture was very nice and good quality , the patio could have done with a bit of TLC, tatty dried up flower pots and no outside light that we could find , fairy lights didn’t work , but it wasn’t a big concern . I was tempted to do some gardening !

It was lovely and quiet l, I felt safe travelling alone, host was lovely

Only thing I missed was an iron

This was a lovely, quirky little apartment. Quiet location on the outskirts, yet easy as a base to reach nearby places. We only stayed for a night, but the bed was comfortable and we generally enjoyed out stay. Little touches like the fresh milk in the fridge were lovely.

There was nothing we disliked particularly. The shower was the only sticking point really. It wasn’t particularly powerful and the shower head was broken and so wouldn’t stay up high and kept dropping until it was about chest height. This was frustrating when washing hair. If we were being really picky, we’d say it lacked the final finesse to make it outstanding, in certain areas. This was especially in the bedroom and bathroom in terms of decoration/ final finishing off and cleanliness but then some of this is down to the nature and age of the building and was therefore to be expected. One of the main plug sockets in the bedroom also, could not be used for a hair dryer or straighteners, as due to its position on the wall, the plug couldn’t be inserted. This meant the small extension had to be used which was further away and both appliances couldn’t be added at the same time. However, none of this detracted from our stay.
