About this villa rental
Villa Galanthus is a traditional stone-built cottage, located in the heart of Listaros village. It is a three-level house of approximately 90 sq. m. Each one of the first and third levels has one autonomous bedroom with a semi- double and a double bed respectively. The second level comprises a living room and a fully- equipped kitchen. The living room has a wonderful fireplace and a sofa which can be transformed into a double comfortable bed. In addition, the cottage has 2 bathrooms equipped with big stone-built shower units. Concerning the external spaces, Villa Galanthus has one large yard in front of the main entrance and a balcony in the third level with a wonderful view to the South Cretan Sea and the mountains of Psiloritis and Asterousia.
Listaros is a small traditional village of South Heraklion, ideal for ultimate relaxation. It’s only 5 km away from the famous beaches of Matala and Komos and 10 km from the isolated uncrowded beaches of Agiofaraggo and Vathi. Additionally, for the ancient-culture admirers, Listaros is only 2 km away from the Ancient city of Festos.
We are going to give you full privacy during your stay. However, whenever you need us we will be very happy to help you in any way possible!
There is not public transportation to our villa. Thus you will need to rent a car - If you like we will be very happy to help you find the best deal. You can safely park the car outside the house.
In order to make you feel at home, we will provide you all the bedding and towels you might need during your stay.
As a welcome gift we are going to give you a basket containing a bottle of olive oil, a bottle of wine and of course traditional cretan tsikoudia! Additionally as soon as you arrive you will find a fridge and a cupboard filled with delicious traditional and continental goodies for your first days.

We really enjoyed our stay in Listaros this July (2023). Upon our arrival we have been welcomed warmly and with the fridge fully supplied for the first days. The house itself has been nicely reconstructed, adding to the overall authentic vibe. The upstairs terrace offers a dramatic view of the surrounding country and the sea. On top of that, whether you are a history-lover or a sea-person, the location of Listaros will suit every taste, with the famous Matala beach or the historical sights of Gortys or Faistos in less than 30 minutes away.

Charmante maison au cœur d'un minuscule village un peu dans les terres. La description de la location est absolument exacte. Sivas est a 5 mn en voiture si l'on veut dîner sur la grand-place, Pitsidia a un 1/4 d'heure pour dîner chez Mike, Matalla trois kilomètres plus loin pour aller boire un verre en bord de mer, les criques isolées parmi les plus belles que nous ayons faites (Agiofarago et Red Beach), la cité palatiale de Faistos à quelques kilomètres, le tout loin de la cohue de la côte nord.. Mais surtout, Giorgos est d'une gentillesse et d'une prévenance inégalées. Voiture louée pas cher par son intermédiaire, frigo rempli à l'arrivée, prise de nouvelles régulière et bons tuyaux pour bien dîner hors des restaurants trop touristiques et éviter les plages trop fréquentées. Si vous aimez concilier calme et spots plus animés, c'est idéal. Nous recommandons absolument.
Lovely house in a tiny village. The description is totally true to reality. Sivas is 5 minutes far to have dîner on the central place, Pitsidia at 15' to have diner at Mike's, Matalla is 3 km further to gave a drink along the shore, the best hidden beaches are close (Agiofarago and Red Beach), Faistos and the minoean palace are less than 10km far all thus far from the northern coast's crowd ! But, most significant, is Giorgos kindness and attention : he rent the car for us at a competitive price, filled the fridge for our arrival, checked how things were going on often and shared his best spots to avoid tourist restaurants and crowds beaches. If you want to conceal quietness and lightly animated spots : here's the place ! Highly recommended

We stayed at villa Galanthus for a week in January. It was the perfect spot for a winter holiday!It has a working fireplace and stunning mountain view and it was ideal. It can accomodate a lot of people so that was also a plus for our group (5 people). Yiorgos (the owner)was very helpful and reaponsive to all of our questions. Highly recommended!

La casa ė su tre livelli, molto carina, con due camere da letto e doppi servizi; completa di tutto quello che può servire, dalla cucina al ferro da stiro o la lavatrice. Forse eravamo i primi ospiti della struttura. Il proprietario gentilissimo e accogliente ci ha riempito il frigorifero di tutto quello che poteva metterci! Questo perché comunque la colazione bisogna farsela da se, nel piccolo paese non c'è neppure un cafeteion ma a 2 km si trova il paesino di Sivas che ha molti ristoranti. Posto ideale per escursioni a sud di Creta lontani dal caos di Matala
