RENT BY CALENDAR MONTH ONLY. Single-story, spacious, (half again as big as most condos (approximately 1460 S.F.) not counting two patios & third common HOT TUB AREA JUST OUTSIDE THE DOOR. We are on a bluff overlooking the ocean & LAGOON. Has recently been remodeled shows pride of ownership.IT IS NOT 40 YEARS OLD LIKE MOST. BUILT IN EARLY 2000. Our condo Is second from the end unit behind the spa . *This is one of the FEW condos with superior location (quieter than most not within sight or direct noise from freeway nor right next to the rail road tracks, nor close enough to be a problem,. SEE PICTURES AND CHECK. YOU CAN NOT SEE THE FREEWAY FROM OUR UNIT. I CAN LEAVE OUR 3 SLIDING GLASS DOORS (dual pane glass,) OPEN AND AM NOT BOTHERED BY THE NOISE. Condo is approximately in middle of complex. The only thing that separates it from lagoon is LOWER patio & a narrow strip of grass + metal fence. Walk to beautiful Tamarack beach, (APPROX. 15 MIN WALK AWAY,) grocery/drug store two blocks, CLOSE TO restaurants, village. Unit has recently been remodeled (new 20 inch, tile floor, paint {inside & out}, lighting fixtures, ceiling fans, WHITE SHUTTERS, tub enclosure, large baseboard molding, fireplace surround, verticals,) Featuring frescos & OIL PAINTINGS . BEAUTIFULL furniture (dark cherry ) & large master suit with spa like bathroom with giant tub,+ tiled separate, shower. Recline on leather chair, or two RECLINING ends of matching couch. A/C, Wi-fi, 3 big FLAT screen HD TVs ( 2 40'& 1 75') with DVRs & extended HD channels, gourmet kitchen (BUILT IN MICROWAVE AND OVEN (new 2020) & COOK TOP,) 2 parking underground spots & FIREPLACE.. ELEVATOR FROM UNDERGROUND PARKING GOES STRAIGHT TO OUR FRONT DOOR. WE SHOW GREAT PRIDE OF OWNERSHIP. AFTER BOOKING WITH VRBO, WE WILL PUT YOU IN TOUCH WITH OUR OUTSIDE MANAGEMENT. THIS MAKES MAINTENANCE AND PICKING UP THE KEYS SO EASY. OUR PROPERTY MANAGEMENT IS OF HIGH REPUTATION AND HAVE OFFICE ON CARLSBAD BOULEVARD IN TOWN A SHORT DISTANCE AWAY. THEY ALSO HAVE THEIR OWN MAINTENANCE CREW.
Master bedroom has king size bed (high quality mattress. and second bedroom offers 2 queen beds (high quality mattress.) HD, 40 inch TVs with DVRs in both bedrooms. Nine foot ceilings (approximately) throughout, Three huge, glass sliding doors help bring in light and outdoors. Very high definition, 75 inch TV(so clear it almost looks 3D) with DVR, and gas fireplace are in living room. Spacious, separate, dining room has beveled glass table with 4 armed chairs on castors,+ has extra room for our card table and 4 chairs. Kitchen is loaded with stainless steal frig with ice and water in door, built-in microwave, Kitchenaid, stand-alone mixer, high powered blender. Kitchen has just about everything a great cook would want to work with. Back patio has propane barbecue. Approx. 1/2 mile to state beach parking & sand. There are fish in the lagoon. Check with authorities for fishing. L.A. Fitness close by has short term memberships. REMODELED, INDOOR MALL CLOSE BY WITH MOVIES, 24 HOUR, FITNESS CENTER, AND SHOPPING (2 malls) IS WITHIN FIVE MILES. THERE ARE APPROXIMATELY 30 GOLF COURSES IN CLOSE VICINITY TO CONDO. WE ALSO HAVE A BEAUTIFUL OUTDOOR MALL A VERY SHORT DISTANCE AWAY. IT IS ABOVE THE FREEWAY AND ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE LAGOON. IT IS WONDERFULL FOR GIFTS TO TAKE HOME TO THE RELATIVES AND FRIENDS AND TO STRETCH YOUR LEGS A BIT. IT SEEMS TO BE GROWING EVERY TIME I

Elevator 7 WILL TAKE YOU from the gated, underground garage (2 SPACES) TO OUR DOOR. This is a single story unit with no steps access. Another lower patio in front of unit has table, chairs, and hot tub. Back patio has barbecue (propane.) There is a wonderful ocean view from the front patio, living room and dinning room.
There are approximately 30 golf courses within a 50 mile radius. Four of which, are in Carlsbad. CONTRACT WITH PROPERTY MANAGERS REQUIRES SIGNATURE WITHIN 24 HOURS AFTER BOOKING WITH VRBO.

    Our family of 4(2 adults, 2 kids; 8 and 5 yrs old) just spent a wonderful month in Carlsbad!We absolutely loved our stay!The owner was very thoughtful; knowing we were coming w/ kids, she purchased new beach toys, 4 boogie boards, and 2 large Lego sets, so we didn't have to bring lots of extra toys.There were other games and puzzles available as well.Soft, cozy new robes for the adults' use and plenty of linens available for bath and bed, as well as pool towels.Beds were comfy, w/ mattress toppers.The 2 kids shared a room with 2 large beds.They could have easily fit into 1 bed.Living room w/ large recliner and couch with 2 reclining seats, plenty of extra sitting chairs/stools available throughout.TVs in both bedrooms besides the giant one in the living room. Kitchen had all we needed; microwave, dishwasher, gas stove & toaster oven.The washer and dryer worked great and seemed new.Condo is on the first floor, w/ elevator access from the garage.Dolly and large cart available to help you bring groceries up from garage if needed.Easy access to a more private hot tub and grill area in the back, and short walk to the salt water pool area (also access from garage), w/ a larger hot tub and grill.There are 2 patios; one w/ view of the lagoon and ocean.Perfect location, relaxing & close to grocery store, gas stations, short drive or walk to the beach, 1 exit away from Legoland. Attentive, quick & responsive manager. I wish we stayed longer and can't wait to go back!Highly recommend!

    This was our second time staying at this condo. We loved it. It is very comfortable and had everything we needed for a month long stay. It has a beautiful view from the patio of the lagoon and ocean. It is in a gated community which is very well maintained. Since it is only a mile from the shore, we were able to enjoy the beach every day on our walks. We will be back!

    The property is managed by a property management company. Both the PMC and owner were in contact if anything needed to be addressed. A few things popped up, but nothing that wasn’t addressed and it was items to no fault of owner/pmc. Hoping to stay again

    We had a very good experience. The check in process was simple. The condo was very clean and exceptionally decorated. It was well supplied and the kitchen had all the necessary items. The underground parking was secure and the elevator made access to the condo easy. The location was great and we enjoyed sitting on the patio with a view of the lagoon and ocean. Overall, we had a very good experience and enjoyed our stay.

    Five week stay at this condo in Carlsbad. Great location, walking distance to beach. Condo had everything we needed and any issues or questions were addressed quickly. Only item was there is some highway noise but would stay again and recommend to others.

    We loved our visit to Carlsbad and our stay at this condo. It was less than a mile to the beach and the weather was spectacular. We were very comfortable in the condo. It is very spacious and we felt at home. The condo was very clean when we arrived and the management company quickly responded to any issues that we had during our stay. The beds were very comfortable. There was a full size washer and dryer. They had a beach umbrella and beach chairs available for use. There were plenty of towels including beach towels. The kitchen was fully stocked with a new coffeemaker, toaster, microwave, and plenty of dishes and silverware. The only things that were missing were a hand mixer and a medium size sauce pan. But we will bring those with us next year. We have already booked for next year. So I would highly recommend this condo.

    Unit was large, clean & well equipped. Grounds were immaculate. A clean heated pool & hot tubs were easily accessible. Location was central with easy car & train (Carlsbad Village) access to nearby locations, San Diego, etc. Beach was a 10 minute walk with another 20 minutes along the beach/seawall to get to the quaint Carlsbad village. Owners were helpful, responsive & incredibly accommodating in the times of Covid-19 with the help of VRBO, a corporation with integrity. Notwithstanding other reviews mentioning train/highway noise we didn’t experience any impingement on the positive atmosphere of our stay. In summary we have no hesitation in recommending this unit to others & using it again sometime in the future.

    My wife and I just had the pleasure of spending a month in this fabulous condo. It is an exceptional property in an excellent location. I was hesitant to write a review because there is very little I can add to the prior reviews. However, since some of the prior reviews are now several years old, I want to say that all of them are still accurate and true as are the owner's descriptions and pictures of the condo and surrounding complex. In fact, to borrow a line from a prior review, the pictures, video, owners' descriptions and prior reviews "do not do this property justice". Probably the best recommendation I can make is that the condo and the area are so great that even though it is a 3,800 mile round trip drive for us we've already made our reservations for next year! In addition to the above brief observations, following is a list of 6 reasons you should consider this exceptional property. (1) THE CONDO: This well maintained, well equipped condo is very SPACIOUS with a rather unique floor plan. A month can be a long time to be away from home but you will not feel cramped this condo. (2) SECURITY: An earlier review observed that it is in a "double-gated community". While this level of security seems to be overkill given the surrounding area, it does provide extra peace of mind if you are a long way from home in an unfamiliar area for an extended period of time. (3) THE OWNERS: Dealing with the owners (and the management company) was an excellent experience. Prior to signing a contract, the owner patiently answered our many questions, and after we signed the contract, the owner stayed in touch with us with suggestions about things to do in the area. They were also there to greet us and show us around the complex. (4) THE CONDO COMPLEX: The complex in which this condo is located is extremely nice and very well maintained by the Home Owner's Association. (5) CARLSBAD: This condo is in a superb location. The weather is fantastic and Carlsbad itself is a really nice area which offers an ample variety of activities, shopping and restaurants – many within a two mile radius of this condo. I saw a sticker on a car that sums up our experience: "Carlsbad - No Bad Days". (6) OTHER THINGS TO DO: If you have a car and don't mind doing a little driving, the possibilities for day trips are limitless. Even though a month is along time, the bottom line is you will run of time before you will run out of things to do!
