Speyer is a charming town!

It was good to have a kitchen, although it was shared with other guests.

The location is pretty close to a public parking area and to a park that held a noisy festival. We coudn´t sleep before midnight because of the loud music. The communication with the property was a little bit difficult because they don`t understand English very well. I told them we would arrive IN 1h30min and they understood we would arrive AT 1h30, which is not allowed. The double bed was in fact two single matress put together on the double bed. It was not very comfortable.

ok for the money

A convenient location for the town and Am Teknic museum. Quiet and reasonably priced. This is definately an Air BnB typr place!

Poor signage and difficult to find. Our accommodation was in the basement with little natural light. We had to phone the hosts in order to access the property and rooms. (They were helpful and we sorted it). The towels could have used some fabric softener! No telephone, wi-fi or signal of any kind except by standing outside.

The apartment is situated very close to the city center, close to the Museum, close to the parking lot and close to the Rhine. It was niceh and clean, overall a pleasant stay. There is a good Indian restaurant just next to it.

Location - walking distance from the Technic Museum, also close to the river. The room was big enough for our family of four. The shared kitchen was OK and fully equipped.

It's not easy to find the entrance. It was dark when we arrived, and we had to ask for directions in the restaurant. The shower head needs replacing - water was splashing everywhere.

The description of the property didn’t make clear that the kitchen was shared with two other apartments. It didn’t matter on the first night because no one was using those apartments. On the second night the other apartments were occupied by a couple of fairly loud single men. One of the other apartments didn’t have en-suite facilities so the occupant had to walk through the kitchen to get to his bathroom. The kitchen wasn’t meant to be used between 20.00 and 08.00 - the single men used it after 20.00. It would make more sense to change the restriction to between 21.00 and 07.00 to allow for early departure. Also, why advertise cable channels for the TV when many of the channels needed a subscription - I couldn’t watch the sport I was hoping to.

Good value for money if you accept shared facility.

Right in the center of the city. Walking distance to the Dome, shops and Technical museum. Clean kitchen and rooms. Host provides 2 bottles of water, 1 bottle of a cheap wine, Senseo coffee pads in the room at no charge.

The facility has 5 rooms/appartments. Just 1 room in the basement was equipped with a kitchenette the other has to share 1 kitchen and some appartments have shared bathroom. There are only 2 tables to sit hence enough space to place more tables including a small garden. We had troubles to take our breakfast in early hours. The sound insulation of the rooms is VERY poor. Everyone need to be extremely quiet, which is difficult with kids. All signs and rules are in German. No free parking next to the apartment, but within 5 min walk there is a public parking area for just 3 euro per day.

Nice place in the best location

The location is more than perfect, right behind the Museum and the Speyer Dom. Parking right off the door and just for 3 € / day (simply great). We got an explanatory E-mail and the check-in process was very easy! The “Dom” room (right for a family of four) has a good size and the necessary amenities (table, 2 chairs, TV, 1 double bed, and 2 single beds, cabinets, etc) and also a private bathroom. We got some coffee pads and a bottle of water and a bottle of wine, very nice detail. The kitchen is quite well equipped and it was very useful for us. Also we got some discount voucher for the cafe and restaurant nearby. When we needed anything the communication was quite easy and they even accommodate our late checkout request!!

We got some issues with the wireless network, it was not stable and too often we lost the internet connection. The shower could be tricky, you should be careful to avoid getting water all over the bathroom) The available towels were a bit tiny and not really right for the shower. Sometimes it was a bit noisy at night (it was really summer hot and we had to open the windows) but that comes with the location.

Svårt att hitta. Svårt att hitta nyckeln. Ägaren var i Spanien och inte så intresserad av att hjälpa. Toaletten hade gammal intorkat bajs. Fick inte rent den. Sängen var inte bekväm man kände fjädrarna. Handfatet inte rent. Mögel i duschen. Papperstunna väggar. Lyhört.

Haben diese Unterkunft schon oft gebucht. Die Lage ist hervorragend, das Zimmer für unsere Zwecke zur Übernachtung mit der Familie für ein Wochenende bestens geeignet. Kommunikation, Ablauf, und Sauberkeit des Zimmers wie immer top. Kommen immer wieder gerne hierher.

Unterkunft an Dom und Museum

Die Lage ist spitzenmässig: sowohl Dom und Museum sind sehr leicht fussläufig zu erreichen.

Ich hätte gerne persönlichen Kontakt gehabt, um zu sagen, dass die Fenster dringend mal geputzt werden sollten, der Tiefkühlschrank müsste dringends abgetaut werden, und die Terrasse bräuchte mal eine Grundreinigung. Die funktionierende W-lan -Verbindung fand ich zufällig in der Küche in einem Schubfach. (5 Verbindungen werden angeboten).

L'emplacement était parfait. La sécurité des lieux parfait aussi

Sur la descriptif de l'annonce de booking il était précisé que nous vivions tous dans une même maison mais que nous avions chacun notre salle de bain privative dans la chambre or notre salle de bain était à l'autre bout de notre chambre à l'entrée du logement de plus concernant le matériel et équipement c'etait catastrophique les toilettes il fallait tirer la chasse 3 à 4 fois pour que la Commission parte ,le pommeau de douche faisait des jets sous forme de brume donc les douche était longue pour ce rincer. Lorsque nous avons ouvert les placards où se trouvent les couverts nous y avons découvert plusieurs ustensiles complètement rouillé l'intérieur du lave-vaisselle était lui aussi rouillé, nous n'avons donc pas utilisé la vaisselle qui était à disposition par dégoût. Nous avions réservé un lit double mais c'était deux lits simples collés il y avait un trou entre nous.

Keine Fliegengitter vor den Souterrain-Fenstern, daher diverse Spinnen und Fliegen bei Anreise. Lüften war dann schwierig. Die Lüftung im Bad war eingestaubt und leider kaputt. Nicht so gut, weil kein Fenster im Bad vorhanden war. Das Geschirr und Besteck war leider teilweise schmutzig.

Schönes Adventswochenende in Speyer

Die Lage ist wirklich optimal, zentral, Innenstadt, Dom, Technikmuseum gut zu Fuß zu erreichen. Großer Parkplatz gegenüber, 3€ pro Tag sind ok.

Die Wohnung ist sehr hellhörig, wir haben die Nachbarn reden hören, wurden an einem Nachmittag auch mit Musik von nebenan beschallt, so dass wir nicht mal unseren Fernseher hörten, am Abend war es dann aber glücklicherweise wieder ruhig. Dass es eine Gemeinschaftsküche ist, haben wir von anderen Bewertungen erfahren. Für 2 Nächte ist das auch kein Problem. Allerdings hat der Esstisch eine Glasplatte und man versucht ja, morgens leise zu sein, um die Mieter des einen Zimmer, welches direkt an die Küche grenzt, nicht zu stören. Das ist halt etwas ungünstig. Schade ist auch, dass ich auf meine 2 Whatsapp an den Vermieter keine Antwort bekam (Meine erste Frage war, ob wir auch etwas eher in das Zimmer können und mit der 2.Whatsapp hatte ich dem Vermieter nur mitgeteilt, dass der Wasserhahn im Bad etwas locker ist.). Ein paar Flyer von Speyer wären schön gewesen, aber ich hatte mir, da ich dies auch bei anderen Bewertungen gelesen hatte, von der Touristeninfo welche vorab zuschicken lassen. Ein 2.Stuhl im Zimmer wäre auch schön, um die Anziehsachen darauf legen zu können. Aber wie gesagt, für 2 Nächte war es ok.
