Spartan vibe

Location

Rooms are really small and cramped, feels like you are in some sort of jail or army casern. To ask for luggage storage 5€ is a complete joke

We would not recommend this hostel

The location

We did not end up staying at this property as upon arrival the bathroom was very dirty and the complex felt very unsafe. We felt as though it did not look like the photos. To access our bathroom you had to walk through reception, our door didn’t lock from the outside and overall it was a very unsettling atmosphere.

Good, comfortable, fun and convenient place for staying.

The accommodation was good and comfortable. The facilities were adequate. The social environment was friendly. The hostel organised good activities for socialising. Cooling was good throughout the day.

Not for everyone

The location If you want to party everynight and are 18-21 this place is for you .

The room was crammed and absolutely no personal space. It was next to the terrace so super loud.The bunks were squeezed next to each other and were creaky. The staff on reception started playing loud music at 12pm at night I had to get up and let him know it was too loud * he was a nice man though. Floors were always dirty, filthy in fact. They weren't cleaned. I don't even think they clean the thick blankets ( they didn't smell clean). Same for the toilet I didn't even want to shower in it. I left 2 days early...I couldn't take it anymore. I know it's a party hostel but it was the room and cleanliness that made me leave.

Wouldn’t recommend.

Only good thing is location.

There was 1 shower for 11 people, it was so gross, the shower had no ventilation so it was constantly wet/ muggy and smelt like shit. There were no curtains on the beds, so there was zero privacy and the outside terrace was right next to the windows of the rooms, making it impossible to sleep with people screaming while drinking. Horrible experience, I booked three nights and left after one.

Comfortable and clean

Doesn't have kitchen, even though they say they have in the hostel description. They barely have plates or cutlery. Microwave, kettle and fridge are at reception, which is close most of the time.

Booze & Snooze > Drugs & Youth

Location

This hostel should be avoided if you are traveling solo and want to explore the city/islands. It might be your best choice if you are 18 and experience traveling for the first time by getting wasted and walking around high on drugs. I did not sleep for 2 nights because of my loud roomies and random guys hooking up in the bathroom which is located in the room. The receptionist walked into the room in the middle of the night to check someone in and giving them a full tour. Really? Never in my life will I stay here again.

Location was perfect! Staff were very kind, especially the night shift receptionist, he was so helpful! Hostel is very social and we met a lot of amazing people.

Bathroom was a bit nasty, as well as weird smell in our room. Pretty noisy at night, but everything else was great!

Terrible. The staff all try to make you drink and go to one specific bar. They make it uncomfortable and ruin the good vibes you have going by being overly aggressive with their drinking games

Dont stay here

Absolutely terrible stay. No indoor sitting area. At 7:30 they commandeer the outside area for their idea of fun drinking games even if everyone is already drinking and having a good time. When we were drinking in our room as they made drinking outside uncomfortable, they threatened to give us a 50€ fine even though there is nothing in there policies about it. The staff are all trying to get you to go to one specific bar and it is small and terrible

Nice and Affordable Stay in the Center of Split

Really great location and good price. It's a social hostel, which can be good or bad depending on your preferences, but expect people coming back from partying at evening/night, Split is a social and party city and you are in a youth hostel. They organize evening activities, I didn't had the chance to participate in any but it seems fun, pubcrawl, drinking games, etc, a great way to socialize and meet new people while traveling solo.

The restroom facilities were a little bit too small for the amount of people in one room, but it is good that they have another toilet available outside the rooms, so if some one is taking a shower you don't have to wait the full time. Also the building is old, but nothing problematic.

Location is right in the centre, a little tricky to find though. Clean facilities, and great that they get everyone involved with activities in the evening on the terrace.

Disappointing

The location in the center of Split and nice personnel.

It's hard to find a place to park near it. It was not so clean. There was a room with 12 beds divided into kinda 2 floors, but all that was with just one bathroom, which wasn't so clean. I don't recommend the mixed room. Thankfully, we were there just for one night. For just a little more, it's better to get an apartment.

Super central and super nice

Comfortable, clean and nice hostel in the centre of the old town. Super nice staff. They even offer events like drinking game evenings for the guests. I had a great stay.

The toilets are clean, but as there are only two for all the guests, you need to be patient and quick if you want to use them.

Social, central, and fun in Split.

Great hostel for those looking to socialize! Everyone is the hostel was very friendly and the staff created many opportunities for socializing with drinking games and nightly events. Katie was particularly amazing and made our stay incredible! The location was very central with easy access to all sights within Split and points of travel in/out of Split.

A bit unhygienic, particularly in the bathroom. Worth it for the social aspects, location, and cost.

The hostel is located in the old town. Nearby there is a large shop and a bakery. I was glad to meet Yuritsa. He works in a hostel at night and knows many interesting stories about Croatia and the people of this country. Thank you!

Dear friends, please buy cups and other utensils for the hostel. Your hostel is a good place for young people who love to play games, drink beer, listen to music and have fun. People who need silence may not be very comfortable here. But, I think everyone can choose an option to their liking. The young people were very happy. To charge the phone next to the bed, you need to move the bed. Inconvenient sockets. And so all is well.

Fun drinking games with some drawbacks

Very nice party & drinking vibe with drinking games, byob which was very nice!

They make you pay a deposit which they try to steal from you if you check out a minute after 10am (which they don’t tell you when you check in) and you also have to clear the sheets yourself. Bathrooms were a bit cramped and in the middle of the room and if your bed is close to it you can hear through the bathroom walls…
