One of my most memorable trips, felt like home due to Sylvie and Alain.

The location of the Chateau is excellent. Very close to the Loire Valley chateaux but secluded in a very quite and relaxing forest by its own. The breakfast was amazing, the rooms fantastic, Sylvie and Alain our hosts were incredible! It's worth to stay in this chateau, very very reasonable pricing, its a fairytale. But most important is the friendliness of Sylvie and Alain. You feel that you are part of their family, always smiling and ready to help with any questions or needs you may have. I will return back soon with friends. If you want to visit Loire Valley and the chateau staying at du Guerinet is an excellent choice.

Beautiful Chateau with wonderful hosts. One of the best!

We loved this gem of a Chateau. It is absolutely beautiful. Set in quiet wooded countryside with plenty of private parking about 20 minutes drive from Blois it is perfect for visiting the Chateaux of the Loire. Sylvie and Alain could not have made us feel more welcome. They were friendly, helpful, informative and interesting. Our room was beautiful, well equipped with facilities for making tea, etc. The hosts obviously had tried to think of everything we might need. No TV, thank goodness! Breakfast was a delicious continental meal with savoury as well as sweet options which really set us up for the day. We definitely hope to stay here again. Highly recommended.

Enjoy the chateau life while visiting the Loire Valley.

The chateau is peaceful and the hosts absolutely wonderful. The king bed is most comfortable and the suite very well appointed. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The hosts, Sylvie & Alain, are so gracious and welcoming. We would certainly return to Château du Guèrinet while exploring more of the Loire Valley.

A wonderful memorable base to relax, enjoy the countryside with wonderful helpful hosts.

The chateau is renovated and arranged very attractively and uniquely, expressing both its history and the current owners artistic values. The result is unforgettable. Alan and Silvie are warm, fun and helpful. They live in the chateau, and go to great lengths to enhance your stay and enrich your tour of the surroundings. The chateau is located in a forested area, but with easy access to significant attraction of the central Loire valley. The room and bed are incredibly convenient. Roomy, airy and well lit with generous view of the pastoral surroundings.

Beautiful chateau in quiet countryside

Alain and Sylvie were the most amazing hosts and we had such a wonderful stay at the chateau! We were truly made to feel at home with an incredible breakfast and laid back vibe. Unlike other chateaus which we we paid to visit during the day, this one is not filled with tourists (they only have 3 guest rooms) and is in very original condition with such beautiful decor - I couldn’t recommend it more!

Character Chateau, excellent value. We loved it!

Amazing old Chateau decorated with much thought by a charming couple who are also very interesting. Amazing value for money, superb breakfast and great location for visiting the Loire Chateaux. We were given a history of the house over breakfast that was not only very interesting but showed the couples love and care for the place. We would love to return another time and highly recommend. Very private within woodland ( easy to overshoot the entrance!). We were also recommended where to visit to make best use of our limited time and love for gardens.

A magical and special castle with amazing hosts

The room is clean, large and pleasant, the hosts did everything to make the stay pleasant, the place is full of art objects, paintings and sculptures that give the place a special charm. The hosts shared with us the historical stories of the place - interesting and a very unique atmosphere. The breakfast was excellent.

Everything about Chateau du Guérinet D'Orchaise exceeded our expectations. Our wonderful hosts Sylvie & Alain, who were so welcoming, kind and warm; the chateau itself is beautiful - filled with antique furniture, decor and gorgeous artwork; our room was so spacious with large windows, very comfortable bed, filled with treasures; and finally the breakfast was incredible making us feel like royalty. If you are planning a trip to the Loire Valley and want an authentic french chateau experience this is the place to stay.

The hosts were very gracious wonderful people. The breakfast they provided exceeded our expectations. The bed was so comfortable and the room was spacious. We wished we could have stayed longer, but had other plans.

It was a little difficult to find for a foreigner. The GPS couldn't identify the exact location, but it got us into the area. A larger sign on the main road might help.

A wonderful experience to stay in such a lovely Chateau in such a peaceful location. The hosts were very welcoming and ensured we had an enjoyable stay. The room was beautifully furnished and we particularly appreciated the very comfortable extra large bed. The breakfast was amazing, in a lovely setting. Everything we could has asked for was provided and set us up for the day. It was such a shame we only had one overnight stop there, as we were traveling south.

This is one of the places you dream of long after your stay ! Everything was amazing..wonderful collection of treasures in every corner of the room, perfectly clean, comfortable bed, wonderful views. The breakfast wonderful.. tasty, plentiful and hearing Sylvie explain the choice of teas a delight. The hosts perfect..just the right balance of friendly and not intrusive. Surrounding countryside lovely and good base for exploring the area

A memorable stay in chateau !

Charming chateau near Blois surrounded by nature is a great place to stay. You can feel the real french culture there. The rooms are filled with beautiful antiques, oriental carpets and wonderful artworks. The owners are incredibly helpful and accommodating. The breakfast was very delicious! Definitely recommend this place for a perfect stay while visiting the castles!

It was magical.

My preference is to stay in country locations in historic buildings and the Chateau Guerinet D’Orchaise was PHENOMONAL. The inside was even more beautiful than it’s stunning brick exterior. The rooms were filled with beautiful antiques, oriental carpets, and wonderful artwork painted by our hostess Sylvie, who was incredibly helpful and accommodating. The bedroom was enormous, with several tall windows letting in lots of light and providing wonderful views of the gardens. The breakfast was fresh and delicious and was accompanied by a lecture on the history of the chateau, by our host. This is a wonderful spot for an overnight or preferably a longer stay, surrounded by several famous chateaux of the Loire. It is an incredible value and I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone. It was absolutely memorable.

The hosts are wonderful and very hospitable. The castle is well mantained, and our stay was comfortable - definitely with a „feel like at home” vibe. Very tasty breakfast with a lot of options - they cater to all dietary wishes. Locationwise, a perfect place to visit Blois and surrounding castles.
