About this house rental
L'ESQUIROL
3 km from the historic centre of Sarlat, in a quiet residential area, property of 6,000 m2, with wooded grounds and heated swimming pool.
The main house (140 m2) comprises :
- a lounge/dining room (with pellet stove) with a large 3 m long table seating 12 people;
- a kitchen opening onto the dining room with induction hob (6 rings) + 2 fridges/freezers + dishwasher + oven + microwave + utensils and crockery for 12 people;
- 1 ground-floor bedroom and 1 upstairs bedroom, each with 1 x 160x200 cm bed (with clothes hooks and storage space);
- 1 ground-floor bedroom with 2 80x200 cm beds (which can be combined to form a 160x200 cm bed) - with clothes hooks and storage space.
Each bedroom has its own bathroom (shower, washbasin, cupboards and WC).
An annexe (70 m2), completely renovated, located a few metres from the house, in the same property (access via several stone steps), has 3 independent, non-communicating bedrooms (individual exit via a French window), each with its own bathroom (shower, washbasin, storage space and WC):
- The dormitory: 1 room with 2 beds 80x200 cm (which can be combined into 1 bed 160x200 cm) + 1 extra bed (90x190 cm).
- L'entre-deux" : 1 bedroom with 1 bed 160x200 cm.
- La cachette": 1 bedroom with 1 double bed (160x200 cm).
These 3 rooms have air conditioning.
The terrace in front of the main house is equipped with 2 garden lounges (12 armchairs) and parasols.
The swimming pool is heated (May to September, weather permitting) and measures 11 m x 5.5 m. It is fenced and has a secure gate. Sun loungers and parasols are available around the pool.
There is ample private parking for several vehicles at the heart of the property.
The entire property is fenced, surrounded by large hedges and gated. The garden is sloping, with numerous stone steps.
Evenings not permitted. Very quiet residential area.
Baby equipment available on site: high chair, bath, mattresses, cots, fitted sheets.
Pets allowed.
Gas griddle (bottle provided) - Table tennis (rackets and balls available) - Table football (in the "Dormitory" room) - Petanque balls - Card and board games.
The price includes water, electricity, heating (including pellet bags), WIFI access (fibre > 250 Mbits), linen and towels and end-of-stay cleaning.
Rental possible for a minimum of 2 nights in low season.
Weekly rentals are available in high and very high season (mainly from the end of June to the end of August).

The house and grounds are fabulous, with an outstanding swimming pool. All 6 bedrooms are very good, as are the kitchen, dining area and living room. It is a very comfortable place that suited our group of six. Location can't be beat, within minutes of excellent supermarkets and the Bio Coop. Beautiful villages, the caves are all within less than a half-hour drive.Korine and her husband are excellent hosts, very quick to respond to any of our concerns.All of us would highly recommend this property.

Check in was very simple with clear instructions. The kitchen was well stocked with all the necessary equipment. Good WiFi and property access. Beautiful house, comfortable beds in all bedrooms, cot and high chair available. extensive garden, well fenced for our miniature poodle to wander without any concerns. Wonderful views from the pool and garden. Lovely pool with plenty of floats etc provided. Delightful host, would highly recommend this property.

L’Esquirol is a gem! If you’re looking to stay in sarlat as a group then you couldn’t do better than this house. It’s beautifully designed, well equipped and spacious. Wonderful open plan kitchen, dining and lounge area, with 6 bedrooms all en-suite. The pool area is just perfect and we spent a lot of our time there. A wonderful stay, would recommend.
