Excellent all round, looking forward to booking again for our next trip

The gite was perfect for our overnight stay on the way back home, really lovely location, so quiet but not too far away from the local town of Pré-en-Pail-Saint-Samson which has a large supermarket, restaurants and shops. Spotless clean with every facility you need for a stay. Has a lovely pool area and also other sunbeds dotted around. Really friendly hosts, Rachel met us as we parked and gave us a tour of the Gite and other facilities. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Did not find any negatives with the property on our overnight stay.

A beautiful place to stay and relax

The properties are decorated beautifully and the kitchens are really well equipped. The hosts met us at the property to show us our rooms and we were left with lovely homemade cakes. The garden and pool areas are beautiful with plenty of different areas for eating and relaxing. Beautiful views- a very comfy and lovely overnight stay.

Nothing to not like at all but It was extremely hot on our stay and it would have been a bonus to have fans available in the bedrooms.

Another wonderful visit

Second time stopping off here going south. Since coming last year the pool is now heated and they have added an extra seating area in the garden looking over the beautiful fields. Lovely hosts. Last year we stayed two nights and this year just the one due to our own time restraints. Will definitely try for two again next time.

Luxury stay in peaceful countryside

Rachel and Steve were excellent hosts. They were highly responsive, welcoming, and made sure we had everything we needed. The gites themselves are stunning - quiet, remote, peaceful and have a luxurious town-house feel. They are really well design and equipped, and all the little details have been considered. A genuine home-from-home in the gorgeous Normandy countryside! Cannot recommend highly enough.

Beautiful rural accommodation, highly recommended

Beautiful peaceful location with lovely views across the countryside. Very comfortable accommodation and fully equipped kitchen (except for corkscrew which I couldn’t find, I used our own as we’d been camping but I’m sure Rachel and Steve would have provided one if we’d asked). Secure garden with a small pool which was very refreshing on a hot day, loungers and pétanque.

Thick winter duvet in the middle of summer was way too hot. We just took it out and used the duvet cover alone which was much cooler!

Exceptional place

We booked this property for one night. When I opened the door, I understood I had made a huge mistake. We should have booked it for a week at least. Amazing place. Fun fact, we were going to use the pool, but because of the storm, we lit fire in fireplace :) Good for all kind of weather :-)

Perfect location and setting for some wonderfully furnished accommodation

The hosts provide an excellent service. The accommodation is very well presented and everything you need is available. The hosts leave freshly made cakes on arrival which is a lovely touch. You are greeted and shown around and made to feel very much at ease in this lovely gite. There is the additional touch of information about the local area too. Nothing is too much trouble so definitely a place to visit and stay.

Lovely gites in peaceful surroundings

Off the beaten track in beautiful countryside. The gites are spacious and clean. Rachel and Steve are very friendly and helpful. Two good restaurants nearby and good barbecue facilities onsite. A perfect venue for families and groups of friends.

A beautiful gite in a great location, with ideal hosts in a wonderful place in France.

The gite is placed in a beautiful part of France. It has great places to visit that are within easy reach. I would recommend a visit to try it for yourself. The hosts are absolutely wonderful and make your stay so enjoyable. Nothing is too much trouble, and they are so welcoming.

There was nothing to dislike - it suited us for the purpose of our trip. We never revisit places in case you are dissatisfied, but we have stayed at the Gite for three trips and will most definitely stay again.

Beautiful Gite

Beautiful Gite, in such a pretty tranquil setting. Perfect facilities within the Gite and in the garden. Pool, Boules area and slide kept the children (3 and 5) entertained. The Gite itself is immaculate and decorated so beautifully. Hosts were really lovely and helpful. So lovely - I can’t wait to return.

Beautifully decorated gites in a very peaceful location with views over fields to a church in the far distance. We loved the garden with outdoors eating area under a pergola, and the pool was small but very welcome in hot weather. The hosts Rachel and Steve were most kind and helpful - nothing was too much trouble

I did not have breakfast the location looks to be very good but difficult to say when having a one night stop over.

The place was amazing. The hosts Rachel & Steve were friendly and always there is you needed help or advice. They have converted the barn into three Gites to a high standard. Highly recommended. Looking forward to booking another stay in the future.

I cannot think of anything that could be done to improve your stay. This is one of the best places that we have stayed in. If you want a break in rural France this is a perfect place to book.

Perfect tranquil getaway

Clean rooms, there was an oven and stove top, the pool is well kept. There is am amazing jeu de boules track in the backjard. The hostess couldn't have been nicer. Truly the French countryside experience in the middle of nowhere I was looking for.

Nothing to complain about and I'm usually quite the critic. Just going by the price I was mentally braced for something much worse. But wasn't even a little bit bad, it was a great stay all around. However people should note that this is a remote area and you won't find much shopping and urban terrain around here. One of my companions was quite surprised by this. But I came here for the beautyfull scenery and nature and that is exactly what I got

Perfect - would definitely recommend.

This is the second time we have stayed here this year. We came back because we knew that the gite would be spotlessly clean, warm and cosy, well equipped and a comfortable place to come back to at the end of a busy day. The surroundings are peaceful and we spent one evening in the garden watching the sun set. Rachel is a hospitable and helpful host. I would recommend this gite to anyone looking for a long or short stay. Another lovely stay - thank you.

Le calme absolu de l'emplacement. Le caractère cosy très british du gîte. La cuisine, fonctionnelle et bien équipée. L'agrément de la campagne environnante, qui permet de se balader à pieds sans être gêné par les voitures.

La douche glissante. L'absence de tablette à hauteur pratique dans la salle d'eau. Le frigidaire, trop bas, qui oblige à se baisser pour atteindre les derniers tiroirs.

Un lieu magnifique, tout était parfait.

Rien à dire, tout est parfait ! Trois petites maisons sur un même terrain construit avec beaucoup de goût, de simplicité et de charme. On se sent comme à la maison ! Un grand jardin, terrain de pétanque avec boules à dispositions, et piscine pour profiter pleinement du joli cadre qui nous entoure. Toutes les pièces étaient propres, bien rangées et accueillantes. Une très bonne communication avec les hôtes pour la remise des clés ou autres informations. Un lieu magnifique pour venir en famille et entre amis ! Je recommande à 100%.

Zeer mooie locatie. Heel verzorgde gites met alle nodige zaken aanwezig. Heel mooie gezellige tuin met privaat terras per gite, maar ook in de tuin nog extra zithoekjes met loungeset. Zwembad en petanqueterrein maken het helamaal af!

2 persoonsbed met voeteinde is minder aangenaam voor grotere mensen, maar verder wel heel comfortabele bedden!
