About this bed and breakfast
The Carriage House is a converted Barn located in the owner's gated compound. The barn was previously used to stable horses and store carriages for the family. The entire house has been recently renovated and redecorated. The owners are Antique dealers and travel to France and England to shop for their business. Ray is also a realtor with deep experience in the Hill Country and Carolyn is an award-winning artist and has a studio in the compound.
The home is furnished with European Antiques with modern touches. Guests love the charm and character of the home and garden. The garden is enclosed by a fence with antique gates from Europe. It has seating around a gas fire pit, tables and chairs for outside dining, umbrellas, gas grill, garden art from Europe, two covered porches, and a large deck with a view of the Guadalupe River. Guest love the wildlife and the scenic view of the river and rolling hills. The river is a short walk down the hill to a picturesque walking park along with huge cypress trees lining the river. River equipment is available to rent near or you may bring your own and enjoy the river.
The Carriage House features an open concept that includes the living room, dining area, and kitchen. It is very private and the design of tall french entry doors and a wall of window to the garden allows exquisite light into the house.
Flat-screen televisions in the living room and the master bedroom. Free Wi-Fi is provided for our guests.
This is a great place to relax and enjoy the beautiful Hill Country and visit places like Comfort, Fredericksburg, Bandera, and Hunt. All a short drive. Great restaurants located in Kerrville (5 minutes to downtown) and other easily driveable areas.
There is a full kitchen with all appliances including a coffee maker. The refrigerator has an ice maker.

The place was great! Well decorated and a great antique vibe with all modern comforts. Just as advertised. The owner is very nice and made sure we were happy. Very convenient location!

Ray and Carolyn’s Carriage House is warm, cozy and beautifully decorated!Their property is cozy inside and outside.The walk down to the river is very nice!There is so much to do in the area but the Carriage House is a place that’s hard to leave!
