Our family of four enjoyed staying at the Red Barn very much. What a pleasure to find the place stocked with various foods and drinks, a "welcome" breakfast pastry, and even dog treats for our pet.
The Red Barn is nicely constructed; everything works and is cleverly designed for the cozy space. The place felt bigger than I had anticipated! The sliding door to the bedroom is on a smooth, quiet rail, offering privacy from the main living area. The queen-sized Lazy Boy sleeper sofa in the living room was comfortable for lounging in the daytime and for sleeping at night. The queen-sized bed in the bedroom was also very comfortable. Even the shower was larger than I had expected. The electric fireplace was very efficient to warm up the place on a brisk morning. We had enough pillows to go around, and we asked for an extra blanket, which was delivered promptly by our host. There was a guitar available to play, adding to the ambiance.
The deck is a very inviting place, with a view of the hills, two rocking chairs, a patio table for four, and a gate that latches, which was handy for having our dog lounge with us on the deck. We had originally planned to eat out for dinner, but the weather and the view were so nice, we opted to grill steaks and eat out on the deck. The corn hole game in the yard was fun, too. The kennel under the deck for our dog was spacious, clean, well-maintained, sheltered and secure, not to mention air-conditioned, if we had needed it.
The property is situated on a non-through street, so there was very little traffic on the road, and the surroundings were quiet and starry at night. We made excursions into both Kerrville and Bandera during our stay and found plenty to do, while also having time to relax back at the Barn.
We felt very taken care of by our hosts. I would highly recommend staying at the Red Barn.

Amazing comfort...frig stocked with starter bottle water, can drinks, breakfast items & condiments. Kitchen fully stocked & ready to go with coffee and a gallon of water for coffee maker. Shampoo's, Conditioner & Body wash in Shower with plenty of towels. Awesome fireplace for cool evenings and great A/C. The Deck was a great place to sit and enjoy. We didn't get to use the outdoor TV but wish we had the chance...way to windy & cool for us when we were there in the evenings. Your "Doggie B&B" was perfect accommodations for our two pets, (perfect space & shelter). David and Martha have gone over and above. This is the place to get away but still so close to everything...worth coming back...David & Martha always easy to contact for questions...*******

This place is great! Martha is friendly and helpful. The kitchen had eggs, fresh sausage, juice, etc. I would definitely stay there, again.
I loved the outside deck and the beautiful view of the hills.

We loved staying at the Red Barn! We enjoying sitting on the generous deck watching the sunrise in the mornings and feeling the cool breezes in the evenings , viewing the deer and hummingbirds, and taking in the gorgeous view of the hill country. The place itself was so fun and creative with cabinetry made from old palettes and tin, interesting antique memorabilia everywhere and well stocked with food and drinks. Everything was in good working order and clean, comfortable bed, great shower and breakfast nook. We cooked all our meals using the well appointed kitchen and outdoor grill/oven. David and Martha were amazing hosts and very responsive. We hope to come back!

Three generations loved our stay this weekend at the Barn. Everything was really clean and tastefully decorated. The snacks and necessities were a nice added bonus as well. Thank you for being great hostesses. We will hopefully return again when we have summer camp drop offs.

Like most Vrbo/Airbnb experiences, the pictures are usually always nice. Then you arrive, and are typically underwhelmed, but feel provisionally pleased enough to still leave a good review. The Red Barn exceeded my expectations by miles.
While small, it should be a textbook case of how to optimize space in a tiny house setting without sacrificing an ounce of quality. Every thoughtful consideration has been clearly pulled out to lend a truly carefree experience to the guest. It was actually difficult to think of a thing you might need that they Martha and David had not considerately left somewhere very easy to locate, and usually with a little hand written instruction note! It was simply spectacular, and cannot praise these folks' efforts enough.
Other than that, the overall aesthetic mirrors their obvious attention to detail and taste. The entire cabin is adorned with a mix of amazing antiquities as decor. If you have any interest in history, you could spend the better part of a day looking over some of the neatest old tools and home goods you'll ever see!
Highly highly recommend, miss it already!

We have stayed here twice so far with our family of four and a dog. The house is so cute and functional - we had everything we needed for a great stay. The hosts - David and Martha - have thought of every single detail. The place is stocked with breakfast food, snacks, all the necessary cooking supplies, pots & pans and dishes. There was even a bit of dog food and a chewing snack for our pup. When we said we'll be arriving late, the hosts had the couch set up for our kids, so they could go straight to bed.
We love relaxing on the deck with a dreamy top-of-the hill view and easy access to activities, both in town and outdoors. The location is within a 10-15 min drive to downtown Kerville, with easy access to local parks, bike trails and the river for kayaking. Downtown Kerville hosts all sorts of festivals and events and there are lots of restaurants in town. We also enjoy staying in, grilling and watching Netflix. It's a perfect getaway spot!

We came to stay after selling our house and to be close to family.
What a great choice 👏 I really loved the pictures on the web. This is the cutiest little place ever. What great work and ideas for the decorating.
David and Martha are Angels , they not only had this place clean and ready. They had coffee, Danish , eggs etc.
We have stayed at various places all over, and this was the best.
I love the decor, the views, the deer...
But mostly the kindness of the owners.
David drove way outside of town everyday for 2 weeks to do repairs on my family's home...and it was triple digits everyday...
That is an angel 😇..I'm so greatful we were guided here for that reason. Thank you so very much david for you kindness.
I will miss you both.
God bless you and keep you safe.

We had a awesome stay. We had to cut it one day short, because of the heat. My parent's are in their 80's, and it was just too hot for them outside. Inside it was very cool & comfortable.
Cabin was perfect for us. We got to sit on the porch every morning & night, and the view was amazing. We love seeing the deer, and what was cool. Also if we had forgotten something
Martha and David, had it right there, chips, coffee, water and so much more. They really did go an extra mile to make you feel really comfortable.
We will be back.
The town it's not too busy. Not like Houston.

Loved staying at the Red Barn! It is so cute and had everything we could possibly need. It was like a DIY Bed and Breakfast, which was so nice because we could make breakfast at the barn and not have to worry about going to the store. It was also pretty spacious and very comfortable. We brought our dog and he loved it as well, they even have an outdoor caged area for pets. Gorgeous fall views you can see from the nice deck! We will be back!!

This new adorable cabin is marketed as a tiny house, but it has separate rooms that are well laid out. Bathroom has a water closet with a door, bedroom has a barn door slider and there is a dinette separate from the large living room/kitchen area. The front deck has plenty of room and amazing views!
Hosts were fabulous and stocked the kitchen with much more than the basics. Fresh donuts, breakfast basics, coffee bar and fresh fruit were a lovely addition!
Will definitely book this next visit!
