About this house rental
The larger 1,900 square foot "Casa Tejas" offers a slightly contemporary 'Texana' theme. Casa Tejas' 2 Bedroom, 2 Bath set up with separate Den, Dining, Great Room, Utility/Laundry & Kitchen, all reflect a 7 generation journey through Texas history. From the artful front door, personally hand crafted by famed jeweler & craftsman, James Avery, to the bedroom desk carefully carted cross country from the Alabama State House to the Austin area in 1854, interesting embellishments with a story await your discovery
'Texas Tuscan' comes to mind in the more compact 1,100 square foot 2 bedroom, 2 bath venue of "The Studio". A more traditional interior is accentuated by furnishings and art work collected from Europe by four generations of family.
See Photo Gallery for aerial view of property and floor plans for both houses.
The two unique houses are joined beneath majestic oaks by the 1,700 square foot "Great Deck" overlooking the upper terrace which features a kids' swing and "Fern Bed" hammock. A flagstone patio, hot tub, fire pit and amphitheater plus three terraced playing fields, with river access for wading and kayaking, create a unique outdoor setting overlooking the Guadalupe River. The swimming pool is located just a few steps away from the houses down a winding path and a 4 hole putting green is conveniently located by the front porch. The pool is able to be heated with advanced notice and an additional fee. Please contact the owner for more information.
We live on the adjacent property and are usually available during your stay.
