AMOUR AT TURTLE BEACH

The breakfast was fantastic and the woman who cooked it very clever. It is a short walk to the beach where we wanted to see turtles laying at night which we did. Local environmental turtle centre ethical and wonderful. The host was a very kind man. There was no sea or lagoon view as per booking.com report but it was a very nice outlook. Really good value for money. We were in the off season and with the middle east war all bookings were cancelled so the whole village was closed which was sad for the locals. We still had a lovely time. Tuk tuked to Tangelle easy 25 minute ride.

The facilities list on booking.com was inaccurate. No minimarket, restaurant, activities etc. There are two lovely large rooms available and nice decks that look across to trees on another property. That's it. No front desk or services at all. We thought we were coming to a resort with a restaurant and services. This is a lovely 2 bed B&B. The rooms were great the host was great and this place is worth it. However, the 4 circle rating on line and list of facilities is more than ambitious. It says there is a barber, carpet, minimarket etc etc. It's nonsense. The info needs to be accurate. ironically although we were disappointed at first, the host is great, breakfast yum and it was brilliant value for money regardless.

The perfect location for going to the Rikawa turtle beach. The room is well appointed and clean. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Highly recommend!

The setting was breathtaking. The staff were amazing. Breakfast by the beach was wonderful.

Amour is well located near the beach and restaurants. Close to the turtle beach but you cannot swim there. Amour just has 2 rooms and is more like a home stay but there is no one on site apart from arrival/ departure and breakfast. Don was very responsive and breakfast was enormous and all requests were sorted such as gluten free. Laundry service was also no problem. Don prefers cash which we didn’t know so as we didn’t have cash he borrowed a card machine which had a 2% surcharge which Don offered to waive but we accepted the charge. It would have been good to know up front Maybe it was us but we just expected a larger place with more rooms and some central sitting area apart from the bedroom balconies. Having said that we couldn’t fault Don and the service.

The photos of Amour give the impression it’s bigger with more facilities but it’s really a 2 bed home stay style with breakfast. Not an issue really but it wasn’t what we were expecting. Overall simple and clean
