    nestled along the quiet Rekawa shoreline at Tangalle, this haven is the opposite of a typical crowded commercial resort. Here, as one of the few guests around, one is hosted with love by Kalpa and team who care for you even before you have arrived and with no rush to get things done…. whether it’s taking one’s own time for a lazy breakfast (no buffets thankfully), at any time of the day and at times accompanied by Bellla who cuddles up) or time which smoothly transitions to lunch or late afternoon snacks with a village manhattan to sip on, which btw is Nick’s (the brain or rather heart behind this concept) fav drink. One literally loses sense of time as one enjoys being in one’s Nothing box, listening to the sound of the waves crashing in or birds chirping or lazing in the pool to an amazing view or roaming along the virgin beach line (too rough to swim tho) or catching up on reading. Absolutely enjoyed my time, with the only regret being that I never booked for a longer stay. Rooms were comfy and spacious inside and outside with a lagoon view. Food was great and made nicer by the staff around. Thanks to Nick the gem of a host and Kalpa and team for taking care of us. If you are looking to get away from the rat race and enjoy a nice peaceful and happy time by oneself, this is the place to be. If you are looking for a bustling city vibe kind of place and the normal hotel stuff like buffets and all, look for other places. Will be back for sure….. cos as one of Nick’s notes in the room said with reference to Hitek California…. You can check out anytime, but you can never leave…. absolutely true for Buckingham Place

    From arrival to departure Nick and his team were fantastic. Great rooms, great views, great food, great hospitality. We will be back for sure.

    This is a fantastic boutique hotel with the most amazing staff and service. The rooms are massive and well-appointed, and the food is consistently excellent. The views of the sea and the lagoon are spectacular, and a great beach is on the doorstep. Very highly recommended.
