Fully equipped Charming Studio, value for money.

Well-equipped and maintained studio with pantry, tea- coffee, packets, Iron stand and iron, working desk, chair, dehumidifier, room heater, etc. Local tea cake and chocolate box is a warm welcome. The studio feels cozy and homely as the minute things have thoughtfully collected and placed in the Studio by the host. The host is cooperative and responds fast in case you need anything or guidance for local travel.

If you are taking a public transport to reach there, you need to walk 600 - 1000 meters depending on the route you take. The slope of the road is graduating upwards, making it difficult if you have luggage with you to carry. So, take a cab if you have luggage to reach the Charming Studio. People with disabilities should check the access with host before booking the room as the studio is semi-basement.

UNPLEASANT ATMOSPHERE

What was good? Everything away from the property and far away from the host. Although the departure on the last morning was eventful (see below), it was a pleasant feeling to be away from this property and this host. The latter really creates a negative atmosphere and makes all effort so that you don’t feel welcome (from the first minute of my arrival). Every time that you see her, she started to lecture me on how to clean the property (often, contradicting herself) and what I had to do the last morning before leaving. She clearly forgets that I was on leave and not soliciting for a job as cleaner !!! Positive is that all negative comments on the booking-site are correct (see comments by Patricia (12/2021), Dominique (11/2021), Marc (10/2021), Anonymous (08/2021), Anonymous (07/2021), etc.). I should have believed these comments and acted accordingly.

As indicated by Anonymous (07/2021), the host really treats her guests as small schoolchildren, but then how 70 years ago children were (sometimes) treated by some of their teachers. Nowadays, this attitude is unacceptable in official schools. As mentioned above, all contacts with the host evolved around keeping the property clean. On the last morning, she did everything possible to find some tiny specks on floor and desk. When I asked her in a polite manner to remain realistic, I was put in the corner as a small boy and got a real verbal thrashing. Once I had my deposit of 200 euro back, I just left the property, but the host followed me on the street to shout at me further insults, some of them in Arabic, I think. It must have been a sight, but I managed to escape!!! Although the host is obsessed by the cleanness of the property, she does not follow the basic corona-rules. For the rest, the property is indeed very small, expensive for what you get (it is situated in Chaville and not in Paris or Versailles), etc., etc.(see comments by others).

Great place, with good access to both Paris and Versailles

An ideal self-contained room in the basement, which kept the room cool even while France was suffering a heat wave. The room was well-equipped for self-catering, a good bus connection to Versailles (or a pleasant 1 h walk), a lovely forested park just up the road, train stations about 10 minutes walk away with good access to Paris and elsewhere. Highly recommended for independent travellers!

Small but well equipped apartment in a quite and beautiful suburb town.

The apartment is located in a quiet and nice suburb in 5-10 min walk from the bus stop and train station. There is a beautiful forest next to the place, so you can walk and imagine kings hunting there. We also very much enjoyed the friendliness and punctuality of our mistress.

Tall people would not appreciate pretty low ceiling of the apartment.
