All the benefits of a stay in Vernazza, without the difficult climbs.

The apartment location was perfect for us. Close enough to the train platform, no extra flights of steps or steep streets, close to the action but complete quiet bedrooms in the rear of the apartment. Extra bonus, the second bathroom in the 2BR apartment.

Cannot think of a thing to criticize about the apartment. Vernazza is not inexpensive.

Great location and helpful staff.

Location on the main street and right across from the office that manages the apartment was very convenient. The kitchen/living area was very spacious and good size beds. The management staff across the road are very helpful.

Note - there is no lift - the first flight steps up to the apartment are very narrow and steep. They do state there are steps but these are not standard. Pack light if possible as getting heavy suitcases up these stairs is not easy (unfortunately we are travelling across 2 hemispheres so did not have that option).

Comfortable apartment in the heart of Vernazza

Spacious apartment ideal for two couples to share. Close to station and easy to find.

Just be aware that the steps up to this second floor apartment are steep. Don’t come with big heavy suitcases!

Difficult access through damp decaying staircase. Just not as well appointed as all our other stays on this trip to Italy. Need to be more clear in advertising that there are so many steps to access apartment.

We enjoyed our stay at spaceous Tedea Apartment in romantic Vernazza, but fire safety needs urgent improvement.

Tedea Apartment is well located in Vernazza, about half way between the train station and the harbor. It’s one floor above street level with a great view of the street and square below. There are wonderful restaurants nearby and small shops for basic groceries and wine. In the evening, after the day tourists have departed late afternoon, the neighborhood is charming. The locals are all very friendly and welcoming. The apartment is large with modern kitchen appliances (including washing machine!). There are two bedrooms but we used only one and kept our luggage in the other. There are also two updated bathrooms, which is quite convenient because would could both get ready for the day at the same time. Internet is quite adequate, but see other negatives below. We had more than enough space and loved the location in Vernazza. The rental office staff was very cheerful and helpful.

This wasn’t a problem for us, but there is a steep flight of stairs from the street level to the apartment level to carry your luggage. There is no television, but we were aware of this and brought a pocket projector and bluetooth speaker so that we could stream movies and news onto a white wall. The apartment (and building as far as we could see) has NO SMOKE DETECTORS so pack and bring your own. We brought this to the attention of the property manager and they said they did not want smoke detectors and have to deal with false alarms. (!!!) Considering the shoddy, exposed wiring for the light fixtures in the stairwell and hallway, we could never entirely relax. There is a second exit to a rear street on the same level as the apartment, in case you just happen to be awake if you smell smoke. The buildings in Vernazza are old and have not been Disney-fide. That’s part of the charm, but this was the first lodging we’ve stayed, in over 110 countries so far, that didn’t have even batter-powered smoke detectors. If you pack your own, it will only detect smoke inside the unit and will not alert you to a problem elsewhere in the building. Housekeeping is not included, and if you are on an extended stay and need a refresher, the rate for additional service on a daily seemed quite high. It might be cheaper for you to buy new towels than ask for a clean set. This is not a negative about Tedea Apartment, but be aware Vernazza is not easily accessible by motor vehicle. It’s strictly controlled. Forget bringing your own car. If you come by taxi or limo company, make sure that they have a license to deliver you to Vernazza’s small parking area in the village. Otherwise you will be walking more than 1k downhill when you arrive and then back up when you leave. (Allow at least one hour if you are walking uphill with wheeled luggage.

I would absolutely recommend this apt due to its size, location, cleanliness & updated furnishings

We loved the location. The furnishings were updated, clean & comfortable. We absolutely loved being in the central part of the town. Very close to the train station, which we loved after spending more than 24 hours awake as we traveled from the US to Vernazza.

The only thing I found that could have made our visit better would be to have a set of operating instructions in English for the washing machine. We spent over an hour trying to figure it out & we still couldn’t get it to work. Ironically the next morning we got it to work. We also never located the drying rack for the clothes (since there isn’t a clothes dryer).

great apartment that was spotless and comfortable. Vernazza is great home base and management office is right across the street. Detailed and professional check in.

only suggestion is to provide written directions in English ( & other languages) for the clothes washing machine.

There was no breakfast. It was an apartment.

We had to climb a lot of stairs with our luggage to get to the place. The bedrooms weren’t air conditioned. We only had fans. There were so many rules about sorting garbage and cleaning the sink in the kitchen, etc or you would be charged extra. I spent my whole time worrying about sorting garbage! Supposed breakfast left for our first morning consisted of packages croissants that were past the expiry date.

No TV or radio but we were out mostly anyway so didn’t really matter. There are stairs which isn’t easy with luggage. Water pressure/shower nozzle could have been better. No iron or ironing board - we did wash and clothes dried well but would have liked to iron also after travelling for quite a few weeks.

A gem of an apartment in a gem of the Cinque Terre towns.

Great apartment in a gem of the Cinque Terre. The hosts are very amiable and helpul. Apartment is modernized and there was a basket for our "first breakfast" - a nice touch. Bathrooms are modern. While on themain street of Vernazzo, was not noisy in the bedrooms. Large open space for kitchen/dining/livingroom. Hosts seem to understand that guests need lots of information to navigate "the Italian way" and provided that.

Keys did not work correctly. If you are older and have bags, there are steps (lots of steps) both in town and up to the apartments.

A perfect family base for Cinque Terre

There is simply no apartment closer to Vernazza train station than this one, which is an important aspect, given that cars are not allowed in the town, so you will need to carry your bags between the station and your lodging. Tedea was clean and comfortable, spacious, the two bathrooms for a family of four is a must (three ladies). Nice smell of fresh focaccia from the focaccieria next door :)

When we arrived there was a strong scent of cleaning material that we found way too much. It took about two days for it to dissipate. Bedside lamps are not suitable for reading.

Pleasant apartment conveniently in middle of it all

Apartment was near train station and many restaurants. Place was clean and had plenty of space in living room to relax. Kitchen was well stocked with essential condiments and cookware.

There is no tv. There are a fair amount of stairs to reach apartment. Restaurant employees and others use the front entrance as their regular smoke break area (see google maps street view).
