Awesome stay in a wonderful home.

Wow, wow, wow what an amazing place. We had a wonderful two nights here. Beautifully redecorated, we loved reading about the history of the house. Everything you need after a busy day drinking whisky. We stumbled across Dufftown but it really needs to be on the map as a super place to stay while visiting this area! This is a really special house, don't hesitate to book it!

Super comfortable and well appointed, the smart features take a bit of getting used to but very good instructions from the owner. Great having a small supermarket right opposite a d walking distance from pubs and restaurants

Lovely, clean & quirky well equipped property in the centre of Dufftown. Attentive hosts.

Lovely quirky property over 3 floors located on the main road in Dufftown. Very well equipped kitchen. Comfy beds and good quality bedding & towels Lots of thoughtful extras - ie shower gel, kitchen roll The property has an App which contains useful information about the property and local area. Attentive hosts who are available if needed. Property has 2 bathrooms Co-op store across the road for everyday essentials Lots of lovely little walks from the front door Dufftown is a friendly,clean & well maintained town and proud of its Whisky Distillerys. If you like whisky this is an excellent place to stay!

The spiral stairs are quite tricky when you have luggage however it is the part of the original design of the house. There is traffic noise at night and light pollution as it is on the main road. This is only noticeable as we live in a rural area and not something that can be controlled.

Fabulous Stay!

Every spot in Ben Shea Smart Home is carefully designed to provide the best stay for the guests. It is very comfortable, clean, adjustable and perfectly located. The owners are very kind and helpful. They provided us with all the information we needed, not just about the house but also about the area. Very smooth communication and check in/out. All in all, we had a fabulous stay. Highly recommend.

Perfect location and accommodation, never wanted to leave!

Perfect location to see so many attractions in the area, particularly distilleries, of which there are so many! We visited The Balevnie and The Macallan Estate both of which were amazing. The local Speyside Cooperage tour was a great family visit, really interesting. We also visited Lossiemouth on the coast which is beautiful, travelled on the steam train around the Cairngorms national park and visited Aberdeen for a shopping / sightseeing day. The accommodation was incredibly clean, and so well equipped - we stay in self-catering accommodation regularly, but never have we had the amount facilities provided here, particularly in the kitchen and bathrooms. Our hosts were so helpful and informative. There is a choice of take-aways within a minute's walk and a very handy small supermarket across the road. Parking was easy and we also made use of EV chargers in the town. Absolutely loved our stay, we were all so sad to be leaving after 5 nights and will aim to visit again.

A very smart Smart home, ideal base!

This was the first time in a smart home for us. It was wonderful, we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The house is so central and convenient, easy parking on the street outside the door, there's a shop across the street and eateries within a short stroll. Unfortunately, we were only here for 2 nights, but it would be an ideal base for longer to explore the area. The communication with the owners was excellent, helpful, considerate but not intrusive. The property was spotless, beautifully furnished, and very well equipped. Highly recommended!

Wonderful family getaway in Speyside

A lovely, well managed property. We were two couples and two children and the property was ideal for our needs. The coffee table that transformed into a dining table was a great idea. Entry is keyless and so simple. We got parked right outside the front door. Co-op right across the road and several takeaway options within a couple of minutes walk. Take a moment to read the instructions for the smart panels and don’t just believe what your kids tell you! Communication with the hosts was perfect.

Minor detail was that the instructions sent via email and in the information folder had incorrect Wi-Fi information however the correct information was available in the property on the windowsill and in the app that was sent. Brief confusion, quickly resolved.

Exceptional

If you have the opportunity to stay here… STAY HERE!!! This home is absolutely beautiful! Dufftown is a comfortable, little town with multiple food options, and is walking distance to the Glenfiddich and Balvenie distilleries. The hosts are absolutely wonderful! So helpful with travel tips before arrival. When we were at the house they were the perfect mix of being accommodating without encroaching in our space. We can see all the hard work the put into the house while renovating, and the tech upgrades in the house are really awesome and convenient. We can see how much thought they put into the house and providing everything that a guest would want for their stay. We have two young girls with us, and they were so excited with the toys and games at the house they didn’t want to go out and do any other activities. We would love to stay at this house again, or any of the other homes that the hosts have available. Thank you for allowing us to stay here, it was the highlight of our trip.

Apartment was completed to a very high standard and with all the smart controls perfect stay

The apartment was first class and with the effort in detail by the hosts in all the touch pads, Lighting and cleanliness was perfect pity we were working most of the time but was perfect to come to chill out in a really lovely apartment.

Excellent Base For Exploring Speyside

We chose this property as a base for walking the Speyside Way and other walks in the area. We wanted a low risk environment during the coronavirus epidemic, rather than our usual inn to inn type walks. I liked that the property had an entry code, so you could arrive any time you liked, so often the first day of a holiday is arranged around an owner’s timescales, but not here. The property felt like home as soon as we walked in and the colourful masks and the hand sanitiser in the entry hall was a nice touch and made us feel our safety had been thought about. Then there was the welcome pack. I’ll not spoil it for anyone else, I’ll just say it was exceptional. I know we were staying for a fortnight, but it was so thoughtful. The property was so comfortable and felt like a home from home. It really is well appointed and the copper theme really reflects the copper stills of the nearby distilleries. We loved the whisky honesty bar and shared a dram of each bottle over the two weeks. I’ve stayed in quite a few holiday cottages, but I can’t think of one I’ve enjoyed quite so much.

Mooie woning midden in Dufftown. Een goede uitvalbasis om de omgeving te verkennen. De woning is mooi en sfeervol verbouwd en volledig voorzien van domotica. Alles is te bedienen vanaf een centraal in de hal opgehangen tablet en in alle kamers afzonderlijk. Goede hygiëne, mogelijkheid voor een whiskybar met honestybox. Zeer snel reagerende en behulpzame host. Recht tegenover de accomodatie is een COOP buurtsuper. Erg makkelijk voor een vers ontbijt of avond eten. In de directe omgeving zijn diverse pubs en restaurants waar je goed kan eten.

Het duurt even voor je alle ingebouwde gadgets overziet. Het zijn er zo veel. De woning is niet geschikt voor mensen die slecht ter been zijn.
