The view, the rural area, it was not however it was very peaceful.
It is a beautiful place with stunning views. The staff were kind and very helpful, even with limited English. They helped me arrange a massage and a snorkeling trip—both were amazing!
I didn’t have a scooter, so I ate dinner at the property. It’s a bit higher priced than in the town but very tasty. I especially loved the fish curry.
The roosters in the morning are very loud. :) I had my earplugs and it helped. But I don’t recommend it to light sleepers.

Amazing views .... breathtaking!!!!
Tucked away in a little Balinese village... it is a few km from local restaurants and conveniences shops so having access to a bike is useful for exploring the area (which can be arranged by hotel staff on arrival).
The wonderful, kind and helpful staff also able to arrange tours, prepare meals, transportation and facilitate any needs directly from the accomodation.
I personally did the snorkle and diving trip and highly recommend both!
Honestly really loved the stay... if I had to pick one thing, the noise from the community travels up the hill, but the views truly made it worthwhile :)

The view is magnificent. But that's about it. The rest is unacceptable for the price they take.
We have been travelling through Indonesia for over 25 years and have always stayed in smaller homestays. So we know well what we could expect and what not. And the price we paid for this (non-) performance is absolutely excessive.
Unfortunately, we had booked a longer period in advance and could not cancel. Not recommended to do this.
We are disappointed and we feel mislead.
The pictures on booking.com give the impression of something that does not exist. When I look at the pictures of the breakfast, I expect to get a breakfast like that.
But there is no juice, no fruit, no jam. There are omelettes/scrambled eggs of very poor quality or pancakes from the microwave.
The guys ask in the evening what you want to have for breakfast and at what time.
How am I supposed to know that in the evening? I don't know in the evening what I'll be hungry for in the morning, nor do I want to set an alarm clock on holiday.
But you have to here. Because it's ready at the specified time. Regardless of whether you're there or not. If you arrive late, the omelette and coffee is cold and the toast is hard. And even if you are on time, the quality is more than poor.
Every chair, every table, the whole floor is covered with bird droppings. There are only 3 tables, it's not that much work to keep them clean.
You can order 2 of the 26 dishes on the menu. Beer, Coke and Sprite are available. (In a fridge that has apparently never been cleaned in its life)
Drinking water was not available. No gallon for refill and not even bottles to buy.
At a location where there is no supermarket around the corner.
There is a blender, but it's broken. There is no toaster at all. They do the toast with oil in a pan.
When we arrived, the kitchen looked like a bomb had exploded. They tidied up but didn't clean. Every glass is dirty, greasy and sticky. Disgusting.
The restaurant toilet is unbelievably filthy. Picture attached.
The water in the pool was so green that you couldn't see the bottom and there was already plenty of algae on the walls. We had to tell them to switch on the pump, to leave the pump on, clean the walls, take the vacuum cleaner, fill up with water.... We couldn't use the pool for 4 days.
The pool mattresses are just as full of bird droppings as everything else. They were not protected when it rained and were completely soaked.
The Menjangan Hill is far away from town - so you will need a scooter.
150K Rupia for a scooter is a fantasy price. The suspicion arises that the remote location is being exploited. We were offered a price of 60K just a few kilometres away. Without bargaining.
We rented 2 scooter from the Menjangen Hill (...for less than 150K ... suddenly it was possible...)
On one of the scooters we were lent, we had to fill the tyres with air ourselves and the lights were very, very poor, nearly non-existent. On the second one, the rear brake didn't work. And THAT is really dangerous. The reason given by the owner for the price of 150K per day was that they need this price to cover operational costs? Which ones? The cost for garage, maintanance and service are probably not.
The bungalows themselves are ok, but the same problem here too. Being clean is different. The mat in front of the bathroom was not changed once in the whole time. At some point there were no more towels because the dirty laundry was not given for washing - only when there was not a single towel left. The sink and tap are loose and should it not be noticeable when cleaning if the water doesn't drain? We removed the hair of countless guests before us ourselves.
The facility itself could be nice, but it urgently needs maintenance. And someone on site who knows what to do and who feels responsible.

We had a fantastic stay at "Menjangan Hill". The cottages are situated right on the hill, with a lovely veiw, there is a very nice swimming pool, the room was clean and the bad - very comfortable. The manager was very helpful with arranging a boat tour for us, including snorkeling. Just a few minutes away by scooter there is a great family retaurnt called "Dapoer Chandra". Low prices and delitious food.
Keep in mind that the last 100 meters to the resort you need to ride uphill. If you do not feel comfortable, you can always ask the guys at the reception to come and help.

Nice mangrove tour with sunset on authentic boat.
Hygiene was poor, cockroaches, towels not clean, sheets with holes in it. Tables sticky and Breakfast was poor.

The road there is a little steep but it’s worth the drive!

Spectacular views, including sunrise and sunset. Can see expansive ocean, Mangenjan Island, and Java volcano.. Nice small balcony with seating. Villa Bedroom spacious. Very nice quiet area.
One staff person Made was organized and thoughtful in a genuine manner. He understood how to be helpful and respectful with guests. And was motivated to do his best.
If owner wanted to make some improvements, this place could be a true Gem.
Infrastructure very much in need of updating and repair. Bathrooms quite unpleasant. Almost not usable. Breakfast was burnt pancakes. Pool area not inviting and needs professional clean. Most staff not properly trained, and also do not understand hygene important to tourists.. General feeling of lack of concern by owner to provide best and healthy experience. Was told by staff that machine not working to take credit card payment and demanded cash upon arrival.

The View was amazing. You see above the trees to the sea. Sunset looks stunning from there. Its a quit place with only 4 Bungalows so you can relax The staff is friendly and helpful.
Some of the staff don't speak english very well but with the google translator it is no problem.

good view from the room, clean room
it is really in the middle of nowhere. 30 min ride to the closest shop. when you order food, staff should go buy it first and then bring food and cook it. staff barely spoke english

The breakfast could have been better.

view is beautiful
property is not maintained properly. pool is not clean, loungers next to pool are scruffy. there are 4 huts only, ours had dead bugs and living ones - cockroaches. when wanting to be reimbursed as this is clearly not up to standard, staff was not helpful at all. staff, however being very friendly, barely speaks English.

Stunning view, only 4 rooms, great AC and hot showers. Hairdryer. 2L chilled water provided per day, tasty breakfasts. Pool with a view!
We didn't realise how far this was from Pemuteran / any main road - our fault really but taxi from hotel to Pemuteran is 300k return but you can get a taxi for 150k return or less from drivers in Pemuteran.
Double bed actually 2 singles pushed together so not quite as comfy but OK.
It is true music can be heard from the village at times but we were told about this at check in. Staff v friendly and helpful even though a slight language barrier.
WiFi available but didn't quite reach our room.

Location was a bit hard to find, as it is well at the end of the area and with a bit of altitude. However that makes the views and feeling of being alone awesome.
Pool is not big but very enjoyable.
Staff was friendly although didn't speak much English...
Two things impeded perfection; breakfast was good but was missing something, at least some fruit.
Secondly their services are either lacking (no motorcycle rent/without helmets) or too expensive (transfer/shuttle)

Nice room. Good breakfast. We had a good snorkeling trip to the Menjangan island.
In the middle of nowhere, no motorbike to rent or anything. The pool was not clean. Overly expensive massage

We loved everything. we spent 3 nights and we would have loved to stay longer. The location is 10 minutes drive from the tourist village of Permuteran. where you can find more cafes and dining options.
The hotel has only 4 beautiful bamboo houses, with air-con and beds very comfortable and clean. The view is just stunning, no words to describe it. The young team that runs the place are working very hard to make your experience as pleasant as possible. They can help you organise your transport and all sort of activities, laundry or whatever you need.
We highly recommend the snorkelling, and we also had an amazing massage with aromatherapy and the amazing views in front of us.
Nyoman cooks delicious meals that you can order in advance and his sister, also Nyoman welcomes you with the most charming smile.
We felt surrounded by a much more real Bali than anywhere else in the island.
it is true that the path there can be tricky, but we rented a scooter and had no problems at all…and we loved the freedom of moving around that area.
We felt totally relaxed and we recommend this place a 100%. One feels to be supporting the locals and not the big resort chains.
It is true that you can hear neighbours or animals at times…but it didn’t bother us at all, it made the experience more authentic.
all was great, hopefully they will soon get a machine for cards, as if you stay a few days, plus meals and activities you need to make sure you have enough cash.

Nice stay in the middle of the stunning views of sunrise and sunset. The Wi-Fi connection was strong and bed was comfortable.
The place is a little difficult to find at night. Perhaps having some light on the entrace board would help to guide travellers.

everything was great .food was great. view is amazingly relaxing and the host is a great person, young but very responsible and always ready to fullfill your needs, we did snorkling tour and it was amazing as expected. all was arranged very easy and fast. this place is inside a local village. expect kindness and some domestic animals around. pool is just magical and rooms are bamboo houses.
overall we couldnt choose a better place to explore this part of town. and they make your life easier.
also they offer a driver service with great driver.
great place to experience the less tourist side of bali, and be in contact with real balinese life style.
It was great staff.
