Warm and Beautiful

Rosehip is warm, stylish and comfortable. We loved how clean and fresh it felt. I think the pictures don't do it justice. I hope to visit when the garden is in bloom.

Not much to be honest. The drive and parking are a tad bit tight on first glance, but with a bit of encouragement from myself and Jeanette , my partner got there in the end.

Perfect place to stay for exploring the area.

The whole place was spotless. It was well equipped and we were able to prepare a light snack in the evening. We only stayed for 1 night but if you were staying for longer, the private garden would be a lovely place to sit in. The owners were very friendly. Can highly recommend Rosehios.it was very quiet.

Loved our stay at Rosehips. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again if we were ever passing this way again.

Loved the village like atmosphere that greeted us at Rose hips and only a short drive to hop on a bus into York which took about 15 mins. Our detached granny flat was very clean & tidy and had everything we needed for our 2 night stay. Local pub was great for dinner. Decided it was that great we needed to go back the next night for dinner as well and only a 2 minute walk. Loved the thoughtfulness of a couple of cool beverages in the fridge on arrival. Great communication with host, great directions and information sheet. Loved the outdoor garden and table to soak in the fresh air.

An amazing little property!

The whole property was amazing. Myself and Georgina couldn't fault it. The accommodation was clean and tidy. Everything was very comfortable, including the bed. The little separate garden was beautiful. And there were lovely little touches like the nice welcoming card and a couple of beers in the fridge. It is perfect for a couple who are looking for somewhere with easy access to York.

There wasn't a thing we could think of we didn't like.

The host left 2 bottles of beer in fridge to welcome us. Great information left for us Location great, opposite a bus stop that takes you into York. Very quiet village, pub on corner. Restaurant and Marina 5 mins away

Good self catering accommodation in a lovely area.

Lovely village with good walks and a choice of pubs to eat in. Rosehips was quirky but well equipped with kitchen equipment, info and a couple of games. There was garden furniture which we made use of as the weather was kind.

A couple of armchairs would have been welcome. Also the property is right beside the owner's house but she didn't interact with us in person. She did leave us a message telling us to let her know if we needed anything.

Absolutely amazing stay at Rosehips….the room was perfect for our needs, clean and a good size. The bed was very comfortable and the facilities perfect for our stay. We really liked the quality of the soap and shower gel. Everything seemed so well thought out. Thank you.

Idyllic place for a couple embarking on their first weekend away together!

Such an amazing little place for a weekend getaway! Perfect for myself and my partner! Saw reviews saying the water in the shower was cold, however we ran it for a little while before using and it was perfect temperature. Bed was comfortable, garden was gorgeous and we were completely left alone the whole time. Short taxi ride/car ride into York centre, unfortunately we didn’t have chance to go for a walk down the riverbank and to the marina but would definitely book again so we could do that!

Nothing we didn’t like! As others have said, the tv was a little small but we were out most of the time anyway or used it for music. Also, a suggestion of maybe purchasing a fan, as it was very warm even with the door open. Other than that, it was perfect!

Ok, for one night.

It was located right in the heart of the village.

It was very chilly in the property when we arrived. The duvet was very thin. The toilet seat did not fit properly so you were sitting on the porcelain toilet which was very unpleasant .
