A truly lovely and welcoming stay. Perfect location, lovely view of the ocean, lots of space and a brilliant host in Arshad. We will be coming back and start our trip from this house and beyound

Very friendly family-run property - they lived in the property for several generations. They were very accommodating with us and spoke perfect English. Clean and quiet, yet right in the middle of Galle Fort and super easy to get around from.
The price was perhaps a bit high for the room, although it was sizeable and comfortable. But that is the cost of staying in Galle Fort after all and we're happy we did. We ended up extending one night because the location is superb and the family very friendly and kind indeed.

Location
The first room we got had a bathroom door which would not shut.
That it has no running hot water. Agree that Galle temperatures are such that you dont need hot water. But after a hot and sultry day and with all that walking, your tired muscles and body could done with a soothing hot water shower.
No windows which open…other than one on the corridor (no privacy).
Also that it accepts only cash payment ….which is not mentioned unless you read “Property Policies”. Also for Booking.com to put it up right upfront near the rate shown that this property accepts only cash.

No breakfast…
