About this villa rental
Beautiful and large, airy villa with spacious outdoor areas and a large private pool. Located on the outskirts of the little, sleepy village of Kokkino Chorio, the villa has mesmerizing views of Souda Bay, the open sea, the Akrotiri peninsula, and the sunset.
The interior combines traditional and modern elements of comfort and style in various shades of Greek Blue, with beautiful artwork by the owner throughout. This two story villa includes 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, a living room and dining area with fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen with access to the garden, and a guest WC. With several shaded terraces and balconies to enjoy the warm and sunny weather of Crete, guests can relax in quiet and peaceful surroundings with olive groves and a few private homes as its closest neighbors.
Pergola covered outdoor lounge and dining areas enjoy endless sea views and are the perfect place for peace and relaxation. A pretty, large garden including many olive trees and other local plants, and provides a charming surrounding for the villa itself. NB, since the photos were taken, the garden has matured beautifully.
The lovely village of Kokkino Chorio is within walking distance from the villa, and has a traditional Greek taverna, a café, and a mini market.
Luna is not suitable for small children as the pool area does not have protection against the drops to the garden below.

Villa Luna had all that our extended family of 8 needed and more! Better than the pictures with plenty of bathrooms and space for everyone to either hang together or find a quiet spot for themselves. The pool was hard to leave and the sunsets were breathtaking! You will need a car to get around and to be able to access supermarkets and local tavernas. We used taxis rather than hiring a vehicle and Paraskevas (property manager) was always prompt in replying to our whatsapp messages if we needed anything. Villa Luna is an amazing property that one day we would love to return to.

The villa is absolutely lovely, great views, beautifully clean and spacious.
You have to be aware that the villa is within close proximity to a couple of surrounding villas so we were very conscious of noise. However we were disturbed on a few occasions by noise from the other villas, especially during the day, but it certainly didn't ruin our stay.
Communication with Alexandra and Psvaraius were excellent, nothing was too much trouble and they replied instantly.
The villa itself is really well equipped, lovely soft towels and beach towels provided, coffee machine, well equipped kitchen, games, gorgeous pool, sunset to die for and our overall stay was amazing.
The villa would be even better if the main outdoor dining table and sofas seated 10 people - there is only enough seating for 8 people outside, which is a bit surprising as the villa does comfortably sleep 10! Also, there is no furniture on the balcony off the main bedroom which was a big minus as it captures the morning sun ... but there is nowhere to sit.
The local village is a five minute drive with a couple of brilliant restaurants - Takis was our favourite by a long shot, food and service absolutely delicious. Also the beach at Almyrida is fab with free sunbeds if you have food or drinks from the cafe, which again does superb food.
A wonderful holiday, lovely villa with views to remember.
