Super Kontakt und Kommunikation zur Vermieterin. Maria hat uns spontan eine gute Werkstatt für unseren kaputten Reifen empfohlen. Außerdem hat sie uns ein anderes, größeres Apartment angeboten, da die Vormieter „unseres“ eigentlichen Apartment wohl darin geraucht hatten… Das Apartment liegt in einem Mehrfamilienhaus in kurzer Distanz zur Uferpromenade, die Altstadt von Chania ist fußläufig gut erreichbar. Das große Plus für uns: Man konnte dort auch kostenlos parken (muss man aber reservieren).

Wenn überhaupt: Im Schlafzimmer zur Straßenseite in Apartment 3 hört man bei offenem Fenster doch etwas Straßenlärm, bei geschlossenen Fenster aber kaum. Achtung: Vorm Verlassen des Apartments bei Abreise und zurücklassen des Schlüssels im Apartment prüfen, ob die Haustür auch aufgeschlossen ist. Wir sind da etwas ins schwitzen geraten, weil wir uns auf dem Weg zum Flughafen hinter verschlossener Tür befanden. Aber Maria hat uns nach Anruf schnell „befreit“. 😀

Close to the old city, apartment clean and spacious. Quite place.

Parking was not first and second day available to the property, it could be a little bit difficult but we found close, in the street(no payment).

Maria è un'host eccezionale, attenta a ogni dettaglio ed estremamente gentile. L'abbiamo trovata sempre disponibile quando abbiamo avuto bisogno di qualcosa. Accoglienza fantastica!

Le uniche cose che non ci sono piaciute sono state la tenda nel box doccia, un po' scomoda, e lo scarico della doccia che non funzionava benissimo.

We stayed for one night in this little gem of a studio apartment right in the centre of town and just two minutes walk from a small beach. The single room property is well laid out with a comfortable double bed, a desk, a sofa and a large flat screen TV with local channels and Netflix. The kitchen area has a combination stove top and oven, perfect for cooking light meals, and all the utensils, cutlery, pots and pans you would need, and a breakfast bar with two stools and a coffee maker. There’s also a washing machine which was just what we needed after a week in Crete! The bathroom is quite small but functional, and the shower is excellent. The studio was spotlessly clean for our arrival, and Maria had left a couple of bottles of water in the fridge which was a nice gesture. The tap water is safe to drink, we’ve been using it for our tea and coffee all over Crete. The property has a wraparound balcony facing south and west so gets the sun pretty much all day, it was lovely having our dinner on the balcony watching the sun set over the city. And to top it all there is a private off-street parking bay right below, although you have to request this when you book. We were only in Chania for one night, however we wish we had stayed for two, there’s so much to see and explore. It’s a 10 minute stroll from the property to the old town, you can either walk along the main road then turn right, or walk north to the beach and turn left and follow the coast straight to the Old Venetian Port. Marias Studio is a great apartment for a short stay in the beautiful city of Chania, we would strongly recommend it!

Nothing really, everything was perfect. If I had one suggestion it would be to change the balcony door next to the kitchen so it opens towards the breakfast bar rather than the sink (or even better, opens out the way). I like keeping the door open when cooking but I had to keep closing it to access the sink and worktop, if it opened the other way this wouldn’t be a problem!
