About this house rental
We invite you to stay in our amazing family home in the Oakland Hills with sweeping views from the living room and all three bedrooms.
The home is newly built and inspired by the Arts and Crafts style, featuring wood throughout and a "Great Room" for dining, and relaxing.
Sibley Nature Park, with walking trails and 360 degree views, begins 200 meters from the home. Tidlen Regional Park is 5 minutes by car and features a botanical garden, hiking, a carousel, and miniature train.
Restaurants and shopping are 2.5 miles away in the Montclair Village. Berkeley is 15 minutes by car. The Rockridge BART station is a 10 minute drive -- BART offers quick access to San Francisco.
The home is ideal for a family of six, or six adults. It features 3 en-suite bedrooms and is 3,300 square feet (307 square meters).
3 Weeks minimum stay (21 days).

Views span 50 miles from north to south and include San Francisco, Oakland, the San Francisco Bay, Mt. Tamalpais, and the S.F. Peninsula. The home sits 1,450 feet (440 meters) above the SF Bay.

The property is absolutely fantastic. We had an amazing time waking up to that beautiful San Francisco view of the bay. The house had all the comfort of home. Anything you need was there? The property owners were fantastic and very friendly. They were very helpful with any questions or issue.

This property had everything we needed and more. It’s definitely a crowd pleaser. The views are spectacular!
Myself , my 35 year old daughter , my 13 year old granddaughter , and my 75 year old mother had all our needs met! Owners are very easy to contact when we had a couple of questions during our stay. We will absolutely be back. Thanks for sharing your home Tom and Bridgette Aloha!

Beautiful home in every aspect. Gorgeous views of the Bay Area. The house is clean, spacious and fully equipped with all the necessities. Tom and Brigitte, thank you for allowing us to stay at your beautiful home and for allowing us to use your homegrown vegetables. Special thanks for the tasty honey from your bees. We had an absolute magical stay at Tom and Brigitte's home. Everything about it makes you feel like you are their dear friend visiting for a spell. The home is spacious, clean, and cozy to the fullest.
The little treats that made this home a true delight: the Sibley trailhead across the street, the Tesla charger, the organic garden, the larger washer/dryer on the main floor, natural cleaning products, organic mattresses, a well-stocked kitchen, books-on-books-on-books, views-on-views-on-views.
We traveled with our toddler and as an admittedly anxious mom, I worry that rentals will smell like cigarettes or house other strong odors/fragrances, have sharp edges, and be sprayed with herbicides and pesticides. I needn't have worried with Tom and Brigitte's home. The minute we walked in the door, we let out a huge sigh of relief. The home seemed to wrap us up in a warm hug after a long day of travel. We felt safe and more importantly, I knew my child was safe in this home.
While there are many many stairs, we took climbing them in stride. Our legs are now toner and our cardio much-improved.
The home had everything we needed and when it was sadly time to leave, our toddler told us he didn't want to. He wanted to "stay in the house with the big bathtub". Even a three-year old can tell just how special a place this is. Thank you, Tom and Brigitte, for sharing your home with us. May we all take care of it.
