It works on a basic level but it does not bring any special pleasure. And no sign at all of the landlady in all the time

It was adequately furnished and provided with cooking utensils etc. The coffee equipment, though basic, made good filter coffee which we had asked for beforehand. Parking was available outside which was a bonus and Godfrey the landlord was there to help us unload on arrival and departure. The handy location meant that we could walk into town to eat and also to the promenade. As we were there to write, we appreciated the reliable wifi system. The bathroom had handy storage and a washing machine and as it was a rather chilly week in Berck we appreciated having access to warmth.

The graffiti on the walls of the cul de sac where the apartment was located did not give a good impression. That locality was clearly poorer and several house were in disrepair,. As the street was partially one way our sat nav found it difficult to locate the cul de sac and we had to call for help. The only indication of the apartment was a sheet of paper on the front door announcing it was Proche Mer, again nit quite accurate! We grew to like the apartment despite its need for modernisation and upgrading eg a rug that was permanently curled and potentially dangerous. The staircase up to the second floor became increasingly narrow and twisted and we had to be extra mindful of using the stairs both up and down We had expected something slightly more quirky and attractive and had to settle for less- a view of flat roofs collecting deep puddles; a sagging bath which could protest if a very heavy person stepped in to shower; a kitchen and flooring which requires an upgrade. We made do as we had booked for 6 days but we query the accuracy of its location and good qualities in reviews.

Bon séjour à part ce problème d'accès .

L'adresse sur l'annonce ne correspond pas à la réalité. Sur google earth on voit un rdc facilement accessible alors que l'appartement est dans la rue de derrière au 2éme étage avec un escalier étroit et raide. Vu mes problèmes de santé, je n'aurais pas choisi cet appartement si la description avait été exacte. Ceci dit le propriétaire est très accueillant et serviable.
