Uncomfortable creaking beds (bed and sofa bed) Great apartment for 2, but a bit small for 4 person stay as the sofa bed when use took up most of the living room space and in the way of the access to the exit door.

Location

This is the response I sent to Booking.com requesting help on this matter which went unanswered. “I am currently renting this apartment in Monterosso, Italy until June 27, 2025. On our second day at the rental while we were out, the property manager Giovanni? entered our apartment without our knowledge or consent and turned off our air conditioners and fan. Upon returning to our apartment, we realized that the appliances were off. At that point I checked my cellphone and noticed I received two messages from the property. The first stated that someone would be coming over shortly to conduct a “short and quick 5 minute maintenance check” on the air conditioners. The second message stated that someone had entered the apartment and turned off the air conditioners. The message went on the say that the air conditioners should only be used while we, the renters, were in the apartment and had to be turned off while we were out of the apartment. The air conditioner issues is only the minor problem. Entering my rented apartment, the apartment I paid through Booking without my consent or knowledge is the major issue. There was no emergency in the apartment or any problem with the air conditioner. They entered my apartment without my consent. This is a clear violation of my rental rights and your policies. I have saved the messages and screen shot both which he/she used to send on your Booking message platform. This message has also been saved and screenshot. We still have two day before we leave this property, please advise and a sorry will not be sufficient.” I would not stay at this property if you value your privacy.

Great time in the Cinque Terre, location was perfect for us

The location was ideal for us. We liked the proximity to the promenade, train station and town. We did not cook meals but it was nice to have the kitchen for drinks and snacks. Washing machine was a bonus. We appreciated the swim towels as well as the lovely large bath towels.

Sometimes the elevator had a bad smell, the shower is a bit tight

Perfect place to stay in Monterosso, great location and well provided apartment

Really nice and clean, everything provided to look after ourselves, cleaning materials and use of washing machine and soap. Well located, glad of the lift to 4th floor ! Little supermarket around the corner .. station 10 mins flat walk.. lovely places for breakfast and dinner within walking distance to old town as well. Sea was lovely for a dip too. would return again.

Occasional loss of power if using cooker and other big electricals .. but we were told on arrival and shown how to flip switches back on .. like fuse boards in UK .. but wasn’t an issue.

Location and cleanliness.

The electricity kept disconnecting and shutting down every time we had the AC and the washing machine on together at the same time. We had to go down the electrical room multiple times everyday to switch the electricity back on. The electrical cooker also didn’t work and we weren’t able to use it for our whole stay, although we sent a message via booking to the host about this cooker issue but it was unanswered. Overall, it was a good stay for 5 day and we appreciated the flexibility of the host to keep our bags in the flat until noon on the checkout day.

Nice well equipped apartment in a good location.

Quick and easy communication with Giovanni. The apartment had everything we needed and there was an elevator inside the house to ease getting to the 4th floor. The location is great - a quiet street not too far from the train station.

When we were there the AC had a problem gathering condensation while in the heating mode. Thanks to Giovanni's guidance we were able to drain it ourselves. Won't be a problem in the summer and hopefully that will be fixed soon. Another thing to look out for is the power - the circuit breaker trips if you happen to use any 3 items with a decent wattage (stove, AC, kettle, microwave or washing machine) in parallel (or 2 if the boiler in the bathroom happens to kick in at the same time). It is easy to go downstairs and switch it back on- but be aware.

Great place - absolutely recommended!

Olivia’s appartment is a perfect place to stay for a few days or even weeks in Monterosso. It’s super close to the beach and train station, yet just around the corner so you are away from the tourist crowds. The appartment has a lot of space and light, is very clean and you even have nice views on some gardens/trees. Smooth communication with the host and somebody was waiting for us upon arrival that gave us a useful explanation about the appartment. We really appreciated the good shower, availability of beach towels, beach umbrella, panini grill, washing machine, etc. A coffee/breakfast place is just around the corner, as well as plenty of restaurants.

Just a suggestion to put protectors underneath the chairs in the kitchen. They make a loud noise on the tile floor when moved. We can only imagine this is not nice for the appartment below us.

Comfortable apartment near the ocean.

The apartment was very nice and had an elevator. The AC kept it cool, however you couldn’t use multiple electric items at once. The washing machine was a great addition. This location is very close to the train station, about 5-7 minute walk. A modern kitchen with supplies.
