Saint Antonio Maroni

Perfect location - view, access to parking, breakfast etc. The breakfast was great - eggs, cheese, bread, salad, fruit. All prepared for you - home cooking style - no fuss, no frills, just really nice. Hosts are great, friendly and keen to help. The room is one of five around a nice courtyard with seating and lighting. Lovely to sit-out in. Shower room is simple, clean and has great water pressure with plenty of hot-water, but tends to spray the door, which now needs replacing (hopefully with one that withstands water better!). Wide and comfy bed. This is a room in a restored village home that was built in 1770. It has character, but is not trying to be a trendy hotel. If you want a pristine, squeaky-clean and modern room, go to a trendy hotel. There is no TV here (but WiFi is fine).

Slight problem with access; village roads are always a bit treacherous and the relaying of the main village through route meant a slightly tortuous detour involving narrow streets with pot-holes and very steep bends and tight turns. This is, of course, temporary and the usual route is very strait-forward. The host supplied excellent guidance for arrival. One or two maintenance gripes; shower-room door, fixings of the nice-but-heavy bedside lights needs improving and the window shutters need repair - small things, but would really improve the overall experience! Oh - and don't come here if you have a problem with cats! As is usual in this part of the world, there are many feral felines around. They are not a problem, and certainly not the owners responsibility, but be aware.

the vibe was excelent i really loved the atmosphere and the room was clean and comfy

the only thing was that the water was dripping outside of the bathroom and was getting in to the room nothing special but i write it because is better to fix it so the house doesnt get damaged in the future

Great cozy stay. Would definitely come back.

Renovated building

A lot of building works in the village affecting pavements, diversion of traffic etc which was not great.. Staining on the pillows and mattress as there were no protectors. Only one pillow per person. No tea towel. Need to pay attention to small details to make the stay more pleasant. Our breakfast was poor.
