Lovely cozy cottage with spectacular ocean views

The ocean views were spectacular. One of the bedrooms had a wall of windows facing the ocean and it was very soothing. There was a gas fireplace in the living room which made the place very cozy. Both beds had foam toppers and plenty of cozy bedding available. When you entered the cottage there were two dog leashes and two flashlights next to the door for added convenience. Everything was very clean and the kitchen had all of the usual cookery, but best of all they had an electric kettle!!! Also, the wifi signal was better than I expected.

Many people have commented about the steep driveway. It is very steep, and a blind turn if you turn in from the right. However, I stopped and turned around to approach from the left and it was much easier. Still very steep, but I had a better visual of where I was going. For reference I drive a largish sedan (2008 Hyundai Sonata) and I did not bottom out.

Million dollar view

The view

The heat and air not working. But they fixed the heat and very accommodating. I even ask about some utensils and the maintenance man came back with them and new pans and bowls. And credited me back some money for two days without heat. We didn’t realize the air wasn’t working till the last two days. I would say the driveway is kinda scary too.

Great Vacation Location

The location of the home is absolutely beautiful. The view amazing. It was a cozy cottage with comfortable beds and all the amenities we needed. I would definitely recommend this place.

First impressions are always the best. Holes in the carpeting at the front door could cause a trip hazard. Shower doors need a bottom track installed as it’s somewhat dangerous when the one door falls off the top rail. Mold inside shower. I don’t think kitchen floor has been mopped. First evening we noticed how dirty our feet and socks were from walking back and forth. The driveway is very scary going down. Would be nice to have some kind of barrier on the cliff side. I hope the owners will keep it up, it’s a great vacation rental.

Coast visit

Views view views! It’s all about the view. Great little place. Good location but if you want any action need to drive to Mendocino about 25 minutes north. Much was closed in Elk during our visit so didn’t have any restaurant options. Place is comfortable for 2 and 1 or 2 children. Looking for peaceful getaway with amazing view this is your place.

Beach access a little difficult and had to walk on Hwy 1 to get path down. Had some issue with electronic door lock and would take a few times to open. Cell service not good so was not able to contact host. Bathroom in one bedroom so would be uncomfortable if 2 couples.

Awesome View

Die Lage ist absolut traumhaft. Allein schon morgens mit dieser Aussicht aufzuwachen ist phänomenal. Das Cottage ist sehr gemütlich und es ist alles vorhanden, was man braucht. Wir haben uns einfach rundherum wohlgefühlt!
