Overall, quite all right. You have to give your fingerprints when you arrive on the island. You can only get in and out using a finger scanner. Good location for going out in the evening and to stroll around a bit, because it is very safe location.

However, far too expensive and not worth the money. The two bathrooms (especially the lower one) are in need of renovation. Located directly opposite the restaurants and hotels. Therefore a bit noisy in the evenings.

Thesen Island is beautiful. Before this stay I wasn't even aware of it. Lovely restaurants and boat cruises. You feel like you're in a little bubble of fabulousness. With respect to the accommodation, the views were lovely and the property was nicely appointed in terms of furniture and appliances. Towels were provided in the rooms, as were general cleaning products under the kitchen sink, including soap for the dishwasher. There is no manual for the microwave, but after a few tries I managed to work it out. Appliances are mostly new and all in good working order. Had the weather been better we would have loved the indoor/ outdoor living setup.

The locks to the unit are not great. I had to take a video as proof of the key just turning and turning in the lock and not actually locking the door, because when the locksmith was called out he said the locks worked fine - we weren't there when he arrived, and the lock worked twice after that and then went back to just turning instead of locking. However, the place is so secure with biometric access and camera surveillance that you may not need to worry too much over unlocked doors. While it is not Thesen Island's fault that we arrived during a cold front, there was no accommodation for one. The wall heaters took the edge off in the bedrooms, but didn't heat the rooms, and the fire place in the living room exhausted the heat with the smoke, so unless you were right in front of the fireplace you were cold, regardless of how you set the flue. I couldn't find any additional blankets in the second bedroom and I didn't look in the first because I wasn't using it.
