Abundant sunshine, tall ponderosa pines and beautiful views of the La Plata mountains make this home a wonderful vacation retreat. The house has large windows and a 800 square foot covered deck to help you enjoy all the beautiful surroundings. The open floor plan, vaulted ceiling and post and beam design give this house a true Colorado mountain feel.

This beautiful home and property exceeded our expectations, and made for a fabulous family getaway. We spent 3 1/2 weeks there and never tired of the wonderful view from the deck. The home is modern, clean, comfortable, and spacious, affording everyone space for privacy and get togethers. Location is very convenient for getting to town and the beautiful Lake Nighthorse. We were so impressed that we have already planned a return visit.

Pros
Great property with large deck to enjoy the nature of Durango. Clean and ample amnesties.
Calm neighborhood which is great to go for walks.
Closer to the town.
Excellent communication with the property owner, who was very responsive.
Cons:
Bugs and slow internet speed.
Unfortunately we had big and strange looking insects visiting us many rooms everyday. We chalked it up as staying in the country. Still, waking up with a bug on your face or finding them in the closet was not a good experience for the children.
On one particular day, we had a large outbreak of insects. I bought bug sprak, took care of them, and vacuumed. This freaked out the entire family.
Two of the family members had school work to complete during the vacation. If one person was on video calls, the other one could not be on video calls or watch something. The network buffered bad, which was an issue for us.
