But nothing is far! The village has a small Supermarket Bakery Restaurants Bank Bar Health Center. 10 minutes by car is the town of Calheta with large supermarket Marina with emergency restaurants Hospital.

We stayed 7 days in The Captain‘s House and enjoyed it very much.

There was no hard standing in front of the property as shown on the photo. This had been enclosed with wall and gate and therefore we found it difficult to find. The owner very kindly got us a replacement parasol but it was too light and kept blowing away! The bed linen could have been better, and lighting improved in bedrooms. More door hooks required in bathrooms and bedrooms. Could have done with some local information, eg. supermarket, cash machine, buses, taxis, nearby cafes and restaurants and other facilities.
Otherwise good property especially for families. Excellent fish (The Fish Factory) restaurant 8 minutes walk. Apologies to Gabriel as we meant to clear out the fridge! Hope the above is seen as constructive criticism as we enjoyed our stay and found it interesting as good view of the children's football every evening. Thanks you. Linda & Geoff
