About this house rental
Our townhouse is an historic leafy oasis and convenient base from which to explore all of New York. Available from the end of May, 2026 for the entire summer up to or through Labor Day weekend. Our preference is for one short-term renter for the entire 3 month period.
Built in 1858, the house contains most of the original detail but with new kitchen, Miele laundry facilities, eclectic furnishings and owner's artwork.
The entrance at the top of the stoop opens to a double parlor with 13' ceilings, pier mirrors and a working fireplace. The living room opens to a bright eat-in kitchen with new appliances and doors open to a terrace overlooking our garden. Convenient gas bbq makes outdoor meals easy! The powder room and extra coat closet is a short flight of stairs down from the kitchen.
On the second floor are two large bedrooms with queen size beds, one on the garden and the other on the front of the house. The bedrooms are connected but with a door for privacy. Both are served by a newly renovated bathroom with shower and tub.
On the third floor is one other bedroom, with queen bed, TV and sofa as well as a full office on the garden side with daybed. The bathroom on the third floor has shower and washer/dryer.
Boerum Hill is one of the most desirable neighborhoods of Brooklyn, a short walk from popular shopping and restaurants on Smith Street and Atlantic Avenue, lovely walks along the Brooklyn Bridge Park, theater at Brooklyn Academy of Music, shows at the Barclays Center and minutes by subway to Manhattan.
